Jmo but the best answer to that is actually kind of simple - the recent slew of guys was an anomaly. Lawrence, Fields, Fromm, Watson. Absolute gunners, but historically the best QBs out of GA were a mixed bag of mehs and unknowns:
K'hari Lane
Austin Parker
Bailey Fisher
Stetson Bennett
Zach Stanford
Jonathan Mcrary
And so on.
Or look at Florida's best ever: (WHO?)

All in all HS stats are typically far overvalued, in comparison to a basic evaluation. At the end of the day there's a good reason those other guys were 5*s, if not top-5, and HB finished the #100 recruit, right in the range of JG, Ainge, Salter (oops), Dobbs, etc. Typically a very mixed bag range of guys or guys that need 3 years to develop. There were obviously concerns with him and unfortunately they turned out to be validated. Think he could still be a decent guy in the G5. Just seemed too slow at processing for the SEC. No shame in that, he just needs a classical play-action and slower pace system that affords him time.
