Where do you rank him among:

Crompton
Stephens
Coleman
Simms
Worley
Peterman
Guarantano
Dormady
McBride
Chryst
Maurer
Shrout
Bailey
Randy Wallace................You have 2 of the greatest Vols in history with Larry Seivers and Stanley Morgan. and you go 6-5 with loses to North Texas, Ole Miss, & Vandy.

All I heard about Bailey from fans was if he didn’t start then he would transfer to a team like Georgia or Florida and we would regret it…it looks like those ppl were totally right about that kids talent
I watched that kid dominate in several HS games against some of the best HS competition in the country...he played behind a decent at best OL, and didn't get his stats by being bailed out by the talent he played with...the kud threw beautiful pass after beautiful pass after beautiful pass..

I will never understand what happened to him. Look at the success of the other top 5 Georgia HS QBs in college and explain it.

Hm. I don’t know. He’s more on the same plane as Maurer right now. I guess? I don’t think he’s a very good QB right now. Look forward to his improvement though.

There are some poor QBs on there, but sadly the only ones he's statistically better than are Peterman and Maurer.

But fwiw Milton has thrown all of a measly 62 passes under Heupel. Look at helpless Peterman or helpless Crompton before they received better teaching while maturing.

There's really no precedence to believe he won't make strides if he sticks with and listens to Heupel. The guy will develop anyone that sticks around.

They're seriously saying their system would predict NC State over UGA on a neutral field using a Vegas point spread?!

Lololol I call B.S.

Also...I'd take that bet 😆

More interesting to me is that the spread between #1 and #4 is 17.1 points. The spread between #4 and #45 is 15.3 points.

War. Damn. Eagle.

Jmo but the best answer to that is actually kind of simple - the recent slew of guys was an anomaly. Lawrence, Fields, Fromm, Watson. Absolute gunners, but historically the best QBs out of GA were a mixed bag of mehs and unknowns:

K'hari Lane
Austin Parker
Bailey Fisher
Stetson Bennett
Zach Stanford
Jonathan Mcrary

And so on.

Or look at Florida's best ever: (WHO?)

All in all HS stats are typically far overvalued, in comparison to a basic evaluation. At the end of the day there's a good reason those other guys were 5*s, if not top-5, and HB finished the #100 recruit, right in the range of JG, Ainge, Salter (oops), Dobbs, etc. Typically a very mixed bag range of guys or guys that need 3 years to develop. There were obviously concerns with him and unfortunately they turned out to be validated. Think he could still be a decent guy in the G5. Just seemed too slow at processing for the SEC. No shame in that, he just needs a classical play-action and slower pace system that affords him time.

Maybe if everything goes right, but we are 2-3 key injuries away from struggling to get to 7-5.

I don't understand how that is not apparent to everybody.
What HASN’T happened isn’t “apparent” to anyone. We’re also 2-3 Cedric Tillman/Velus Jones/Theo Jackson stories from exceeding 10 wins. Nothing’s wrong yet.

He was the best high school coach I have seen in person, except for a Freshman QB I saw at Rogersville way back in the late 1950s. This kid was killed in an automobile accident on a Friday night when his football game had been postponed because of huge storm.
