Unless something has changed recently, Dolly Parton does own a large part of Dollywood and related businesses/properties. Bought into it many years ago - 1986. Even Hershend Family Entertainment states she is a partner in it. Forbes has her at $350 M net worth, but I seen other reports as high as $650 M.

FWIW - Dolly rarely uses her suite in the Dreammore, opting to stay in her travel bus parked on the property much of the time that she is there. I’ve always said, I’m not a celebrity ga ga person. I’ve run into some over the years, but I’ve always figured they’re normal people that want to live normal lives, that work in an industry that puts them in the public eye. Dolly is one I would get ga ga over. Just because of where she came from and most importantly, she’s never forgotten where she came from.

she was at a WIVK fundraiser for some 25th anniversary or some such. She and Bobby Denton got on stage, was pretty funny to see their chemistry. What a pair, they were superb.

Charlie Daniels did a prayer.

Best part of the night? Meeting Pam Tillis, and talking Bluegrass. Those asshats that sang the CFB intro song were there too.

Highly doubt it since you can't "recruit" kids without breaking rules. Don't see the incentive....besides...how invested are HS boosters?? I've never been to Texas, but I can hardly imagine being a HS booster and being serious about it to that point. Seems like a total waste.

But if they're like LBJ was in high school, a total international phenom, and they can gather Nike deals...by all means. It's a free country.

From what I understand it's already approved and passed. Now coaches and schools are meeting to work out details and how this will work with HS.
