I’ve always said, I’m not a celebrity ga ga person. I’ve run into some over the years, but I’ve always figured they’re normal people that want to live normal lives, that work in an industry that puts them in the public eye. Dolly is one I would get ga ga over. Just because of where she came from and most importantly, she’s never forgotten where she came from.

Hong Kong got me good too. I knew it was a special admin region, but didn't know it qualified as a country. I think they include..."territories" so there could be a lot more trickiness ahead...but I enjoy learning these things. Can't say Wordle has taught me any new words on the other hand lol

Community colleges offer free tuition in TN. So they are covering books and other expenses and that will cover most of their people. There may be a small number going to UTK or other 4 year colleges like Carson Newman that work there. ETSU and possibly others have extensions in Sevier County to get a Bachelors. Most of the workers come from a 4-5 county area, so they can commute reasonably well and make it to classes when not working.

It's a chunk of change, but they probably factored into their financial planning. It's not cheap to go to Dollywood or stay in their lodging facilities anymore.

Ok...I used to be a theme park junkie. I don't see how Hirshhend can afford to do this, they are offering it at all of their 25 parks, not just Dollywood, the article used Dollywood for clicks.

This will cost them, or rather I should I say customers like me millions...they sure as hell ain't gonna take that off of their bottom line, they will pass it on in price increases.

I don't know about total anticipated costs - def good PR & might help them attract some employees, which is a BIG issue at Dollywood, not sure about their other parks. And if all are like Dollywood, huge senior demographic, so big chunk of their employees probably not that excited about free tuition. But still... smart move & tho Dolly doesn't own, I'd say they do run these types of ides in front of her before going public!

I wonder if there is a condition in there that they have to work there the whole time and if they quit the deal is off. So they are banking on most working there for a couples of years and then quitting for something. lol Just throwing this out there doubt it sticks to anything. HAHA!!

You'd think...there has to be a ton of conditions to just throw money away like this.
