idk why I always thought it was MTV who bought back in '06; but, I have always believed that until now...thanks for the correction. Live Nation owns all of now, dont they?

I do know that it changed, though, after '06...the lineups (started moving away from the jam scene, and heavily into hip hop, techno, dj driven, especially late night, which is cool; but, I'm more of a guitar rock band fan), the vibe, the crowds, the feel and hospitality, the security. I can remember that first year, people left jars and bowls out at their vending tables for people to put money in, if they purchased something, left signs saying they were going to see the boys, Phil and Friends, and to be generous...those jars and bowls were filled with cash. They were that trusting.

It was 2010, I went only to see LCD Soundsystem (flew in from Salt Lake just to see them there)...watched Jay Z absolutely kill that year, too. My last year was '11, back to back My Morning Jacket and Arcade Fire, which was mindblowing. My Morning Jacket is my favorite band on the planet, and Bonnaroo is where I fell in love with them back in '03, I think...their '08 show there is still, to this day, the best show I've ever seen. They own that festival, imo.

Didn't see Radiohead's return trip, '12 or '13, i believe. Always heard it couldn't hold a candle to the '06 show, idk; I just know that '06 show was legendary, for so many reasons.

But, yeah, it's always been one of my favorites, especially when i was at MTSU. I'm kind of hoping to go back someday...the Jacket would have to be there, of course.
Those were good years. Wasn't even much of a Jay Z fan, but that's still a top 5 all-time show for me. He's a heck of an entertainer.

Same for mmj, lcd, and the rest were top notch.

I do agree the vibes changed since the hardcore hippies (but also wookies... šŸ˜‘) and jam band followers stopped showing up. It's different for sure....but the community and vibes live on. Go to another festival, especially a Coachella, and you instantly see the difference in community vs people just going to a festival to be seen or because "it's cool". The 97 degrees + humidity + camping weeds out all the fakes is my theory haha.

If you don't love music enough to show up at noon with the sun destroying you or staying out till 3am to see your favorite artist, you just won't survive roo. Both the beauty and the horror as I'm sure you're well aware šŸ˜‚

Just spoke to her Uncle, shes still in the hospital. Her oxygen levels are still low. Said she still doesn’t feel good this morning. He said she’s not on a ventilator yet, so I guess that’s good news. Still needs prayers

Is she on vapotherm?

I love my country and hate that we sent our athletes to China.
Yeah, I'm being tongue-in-cheek with my Olympics posts, for those that don't easily recognize my humor. I do support our athletes because of the time and energy they put into their sports, but I don't disagree with your opinion. If/when they win medals, I think we should celebrate their accomplishments because they deserve to be recognized, but I hate that the Olympics are being held in China.

Apparently its illegal in Germany to discuss Nazism.

Germans ive spoken with are super tight lipped about the War. Understandeably so.

Education is a reminder. its necessary.
Makes sense, some people are just fragile about talking reality. Especially when they feel it puts "them" aka their ancestors, in a bad light. Just look at home - talking about slavery, confederacy, even confederate statues, we've seen how fragile folks can be about talking about past evils.

As long as they teach it, the only best weapon against repeating it.

I've read the illegal part is denying the holocaust or pushing "nazi propaganda". That's a lot different than just discussing it.

Did you watch it? All the competitors are friends and they were cheering for the best run. It showed the Olympic spirit of competition. I thought it was awesome. The gold medal winner won the first ever gold in the Winter Olympics for New Zealand.
Gold New Zealand
Silver USA
Bronze Australia

Snowboarding is definitely not a European dominated sport.
I didn't see it, but as I said in a previous post, I was being tongue-in-cheek.

They literally have two industrial Cities. Rest of Country is third world. Coal has to be shipped in. China hasnt even begun to tap into its own resources.

Average American saves 20% of each paycheck. Average Chinese, over 50%.

Not only will they own us. If and when they decide they want to control the World economy, they will. Get used to it.

So did/does Japan.

Good for households (in theory). Bad for economy, unless exports can dominate even more.

There's a reason Japan has been deflationary for years. The Nikkei 225 is the same place now as it was in 1991!! Think if the S&P500 hadn't moved in 30 years...all those savers' retirement accounts have sat still...double edged sword.

Saving money isn't good for corporations selling you crap. And they better be investing abroad if they ever want to grow their nest egg.
