I haven't even looked at his numbers of wins but I imagine Barry Sanders spending his whole career in Detroit would not have even close to the number of wins as someone in a better franchise but I would say he would be really high on the lists of greatest running backs right?
QBs and RBs are rated differently….much like pitchers in baseball. But……good point.

@Nash_Vol97 What is going on, my fin? I just read a reporter in Palm Beach claiming the QB the Miami owner wanted to throw games to obtain was Tom Brady as a free agent! 😂 Others saying it was D Watson. Was he going to trade the Burrows pick? Let us know.

Been a fun day 😂

The QB was Tom Brady. I remember around the time that off-season there was speculation from Miami beat writers as well that the Dolphins would be on Brady’s radar if he left the Patriots. I didn’t believe it at the time but it was apparently true.

Reactions: Orange.
If we could match tonight offense with our normal defense then we could do something but I think they exert all their energy to on or the other. Could use what we got from JJJ/Powell tonight every night. Olivia starting to become a solid player. The Kennedy/Santi/ZZ combo at same time is one that has potential to be dangerous in tourney play. Need to find the right mix of other two to go with them. Ideally that would be two of JJJ/Fulky/Olivia. Our ball movemebt was crazy tonight when the 3 guards were on floor at same time

I think the firing by the Dolphins is part of this equation. His allegation is that the owner offered him money to tank. Instead, he wins 5 games in year one, wins 7 straight in year two, barely misses the playoffs and gets fired. I understand there could be off the field issues, but most coaches don’t get fired in that scenario. Why? I have no idea, but it makes you wonder. Then, the Giants are incompetent when trying to follow a league policy when they use a coach who actually has shown to overachieve at his previous job.

It definitely could be. It’s hard to wade through all of the leaks that came out after Flores was fired and figure out what could be true and what’s not, but a lot of the leaks were bad looks.

He had 3 OCs in 3 years, 3 OL coaches in 3 years and countless other staff turnover issues. There was one story from multiple Miami beat writers that there were multiple coaches that Flores didn’t talk to the last month or two of the season. Which is a bit crazy that they did go on that long streak during the year if true. He had plans to replace over half of his staff, again, this off-season. He also didn’t get along with the GM and was in a power struggle with him.. wanted more control and was asking for more control going into the next season and free agency.

Player relationships I think were better although there were rumblings some of the younger guys didn’t like him. He treated the Veterans better than the younger guys. Don’t think that’s a huge issue though. He didn’t get along with Tua, and didn’t want to draft him but the organization did. I don’t know how much I blame that one on Flores. Ultimately he was right as he wanted Herbert.

All in all, between the power struggles, staff issues and his relationship with the “franchise” QB (he isn’t, but that’s another issue altogether).. it’s not as big a shock once all the details came out. The question is were all of those details true? Who knows, but a lot of them make sense and we’re corroborated by players and coaches afterwards.

(I still think he deserved another year)

Some people just don’t get it….definitely a HOFer.

He is kinda old, so I don't hope he poops his pants. Debatable about the HOF. Not a slam dunk by any stretch. I will admit I have extreme bias against the Steelers, especially 1970s Steelers.
