Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Just a few comments from the first couple of pages of this thread.
You need to remember the level of "unknown" that surrounded all of this.
Thankfully, the worst case scenarios never materialized, but had they, I don't believe anyone would be moaning about overreaction but you would be bitching about not doing enough.
Go back and read what you were saying early......

Oh please...your type along with the MSM called Trump all sorts for restricting international travel

I can see that. But the issue is that there seems to be no agreement on "the information we have NOW".
Just look at the vaccine....Is it effective? We have some saying absolutely not, we have some emphatically saying yes, and we have some in between the two extremes. Not being able to agree on what should be accepted facts is an issue that is only getting worse.
I have seen it work. That’s why I would never discourage others from talking it as long as they are fully informed. I find it hard to be fully informed whenever certain portions of the shot are kept secret.
I’ve seen it fail. Fully vaccinated, boosted pt with BMI of 73%. Some miracles even a shot can’t perform.

73 BMI...lordy I feel skinny now. Thanks

That was the first month or so. I later recall posting about how thankful I was I was wrong about the death rate. Extremely thankful.
I know. I always read and appreciated your posts. You offered a unique perspective.
I was only showing what the general feel was in the beginning and that everyone was dealing with a colossal unknown.
There is still a good bit of unknown.

I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything about him restricting international travel and remember very little from the MSM.
But go ahead with your false and obviously unsupported accusations.

Oh please....we all saw and heard the accusations by Pelosi and Chinatown

Not on a hospitals private property. You can do what the hospital’s and doctor’s patient care plans are or you can leave and go elsewhere.
You do realize that hospitals are blocking people from being removed also. I posted a story like that when a guy I think was from Minnesota and had to fight in the courts to be moved to Texas.

Appreciate that Luthor. Having covid gave me a certain perspective beyond being an ICU nurse. I can empathize with patients and talk to them about what they are going through.
The beginning was a colossal unknown. We were winging it.

That was 4 months too late. A hospital can’t keep you from leaving against medical advice. They can to reduce their liability make sure proper transport is set up eg ventilators, O2 and qualified transport personnel but they can’t hold someone unless they are a danger to themselves, to others and can’t perform daily functions of living. That’s normally a psych hold and they are under court order.

Researchers identify four factors that may anticipate long COVID
Ok, so this is actual “research.” But…it’s a study of 309 patients that had Covid vs controls when there have been nearly 400 million cases world wide. Hard to make any conclusions on that sample size. Also, difficult to guage subjective data. The biggest long Covid complaint was fatigue (52%). Anyway. Not denying “long Covid” is real, but I think it’s quite overplayed. Lots of potential secondary gain factors involved on both ends.
