Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Well good luck getting a doctor to treat you, knowing you are just going to self treat.

The problem isnt that they went and found some medicine their doctor wouldnt give them. The issue is that they didnt let the doctor know.

If rattlesnake juice is going to cure you and the doctor wont prescribe it, check yourself out, take the juice and there is no problem. Either you trust the doctor or you dont. Either you want their help, or dont.

At best you are giving the doctors bad data, oh this treatment finally started working, I will do it for similar patients. At worst you fix your immediate need and get another treatment that reacts with your snake juice, and you have another medical emergency on your hands.
I'm not disagreeing with you at all.

Israel's deaths per day have jumped 1000% in the past few weeks and they currently are averaging about 5x the number of daily cases as Tennessee. Also, despite the skyrocketing cases, our deaths are still below prior surges. Remember: every state is "#1" at some point due to the waves (see: New York, California?) But, OK.

Shutter your windows and stock up on masks, your Omicron shots should be ready for you in 2-3 months.

I'm comparing death rates using the financial times comparison tool. Israel has never been anywhere near Tennessee's high death rates.

And I'm not being daft. I haven't watched a local news cast in likely a decade or more. How can candy sales and kittens in trees lean a certain way?
I thought that too until I watched the NYT turn the business section into a political op -ed section.

A better suggestion might be for all the "lard bellies" to stop eating McDonalds, quit smoking, go to rehab for the pills, and actually do a little exercise once in a while.

Did you see that PSA on the 5 o'clock news?

Didn't think so

This ^^^^^^^

It's not that hard. Take a so called "vaccine" that lasts 3 to 6 months (still being able to become infected) or make a more permanent change to help your health in all aspects of life.

Think that tennessee being one of the unhealthiest states play a role in those numbers...
I was curious if there was a way to measure that. I'm sure there's something better but the average life expectancy in Tennessee is 76 years. Israel's is 82 years, and that's higher than any US state.

Just a few comments from the first couple of pages of this thread.
You need to remember the level of "unknown" that surrounded all of this.
Thankfully, the worst case scenarios never materialized, but had they, I don't believe anyone would be moaning about overreaction but you would be bitching about not doing enough.
Go back and read what you were saying early......
That was the first month or so. I later recall posting about how thankful I was I was wrong about the death rate. Extremely thankful.

I mean let's be real, how long did it take the government to admit things like Agent Orange, depleted uranium, radiation testing on humans, etc. were bad. They're perfectly content to wait you out until you die as opposed to trying to fix anything or admitting they did something wrong.
50 years is the going average to hide their dumbassery.
