I was at the first 6 or 7 of them if memory serves correctly. In the old Civic Coliseum. I think the first one was $5. They were awesome.

It's also a result of massive inflation that we haven't seen in about 40 years. The inflation rate being higher than the GDP growth rate is NEVER good, and it's even worse when you consider that the GDP growth rate is being measured against a year in which the economy was shut down.

That is correct which is why his approval numbers aren't very good, if we were truly seeing 7% economic growth then no one would care how stupid Ol Joe is. They would also overlook his dementia but the economic numbers are a mirage. It's why they don't discuss inflation in any serious way because they know it's a lightning rod for criticism by the average American. It's why they deflect to fringe social issues that very few people care about hoping it will ignite their base enough to fend off defections from voters in the middle. They will parrot this number 10x a day between now and election day with the idea that if you say it enough then people will magically forget about significant reductions in disposable income due to significant inflation.
