I’d agree on everybody except Joey Kent. Really good receiver...but, many more that were better, imo.

Maybe if you look at NFL production.

Joey Kent is the only UT WR with over 2500 receiving yards in his career, only UT receiver to have 2 1k yard seasons, only UT receiver to have 65 or more receptions twice in his career, still holds the career records for receptions, yards, and receiving TDs too. He also lead the team in receptions, yards, and receiving TDs in 3 of his 4 years here. While playing with Nash, Price, & Copeland.

Are there WRs that played here that were more physically talented or athletic? Yeah I'd say so. But as far as production he's the best we've had at being a pure WR imo.

Whenever it comes to production, which, actually, should be the only thing that counts...no one even comes close to Kent.

Agree, but Bass was talking about Vols with NFL production and Kent had very little NFL production, for whatever reason

I don't agree with that.

Both teams get ball get the ball either by kickoff or placement, after both teams have had a possession, whichever team is ahead wins..TDs only, no FGs or EPs
I can’t agree with you proposal. Field goals and extra points are both a vita parts of football games and in fact have decide or extended all 4 play off games last weekend. Just continue the game for at least 1 quarter and whoever is ahead wins. If it is still tied play another quarter. Both teams get the same and fair opportunity to win.

I get it he has records. He played in a time where we were dominant and benefitted from playing with the best QB to ever sling it for the orange and white. UT was known as WRU before Kent got out of jr. high. Stats alone don’t tell the whole story. If that were the case, Derek Barnett would be at the top of the DL conversation...and no offense to DB, but he will never be able to hold a candle to Reggie...collegiately or professionally.

This has been a lot of help. I called an agent and we are in talks of which is the best route to go. Any companies better than others In Your experience or are all coverages the same just different names attached to them

I’ve been out of insurance for a few years now. I was a broker and sold mainly companies like American General (AIG), Prudential, Transamerica, etc. I would just make sure whatever you do to shop around. Talk with local agents that work for State Farm, Farmers Insurance, etc and also talk to brokers like AIG Direct, Select Quote, etc. Dont fall for the first agent. Also, apply for your top 2 or 3 companies. Quotes can change after the medical screening so it’s best to have multiple options. A lot of the times you can have one exam and results are sent to multiple companies to underwrite.

Love Al Wilson and he's the first name that comes to mind for me at LB. But he finished his career with sub 300 tackles which has him outside the top 10 for career tackles at UT so the production he had opens up the conversation a bit more.

With guys like Andy Spiva, Jamie Rotella, Earnest Fields, and even A.J. Johnson being the tackling machines they were I don't think LB is as clear cut a position.
Best inside LBs to ever play at UT are Al Wilson and Jack “Hacksaw” Reynolds
OLB would be Raynoch Thompson and Jackie Walker.

SIAP...

I don't keep up with the services like I used to. Please tell me about On3 and why they matter.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm happy to have another unbiased voice. I've just never heard of them before.

Shannon Terry started Rivals and 247. He sold both for a boatload and he recently started On3. He knows a thing or two about recruiting services

other interesting note about this - 247 releases their updated 2022 5-star rankings on Wednesday.

wonder if On3 got wind of, or is anticipating, some of those changes and released their updated 5-stars first so it looks like they're influencing 247
Probably. . . but as to Pearce, this guy is gonna be entertaining to watch. I think he comes in and contributes right away.

Just a new version of 247. Same dude devloped it and added a couple new, "cutting edge" features to distinguish it from the others.
