How does college not look at this formula and think 'we could be that?' One less conference game, add in meaningful playoff game.
The problem is the SEC is top loaded with more talent than other conferences, tired of seeing teams like Cincinnati getting a chance only to watch them get blown out in the playoff in fact it seems like every year there is a blowout or two in a playoff game which is ridiculous to see or watch

Dude, come on. You can’t be this dense. Sure, Brady hasn’t single-handed won every big game he has ever played in, but what QB ever could live up to what you just said? It’s a TEAM sport. Until he came to the Bucs, Brady mostly won his Super Bowls with a roster of skill position players pieced together from the scrap pile. Outside of the short stint with Randy Moss, the Patriots lived and died by guys like Edelman and other short, scrappy dudes for the majority of Brady’s career there and made it work.

He’s the GOAT.
He's in the conversation. But if you ask anyone why Brady is the goat they start screaming Super Bowl wins as though team wins means that an individual is the GOAT. It's a team sport, it's not tennis.

Just take the last few superbowls that Brady has won:

Tom Brady's defense held Pat Mahomes to 9 points. 9. Tom Brady did not do that. His defense did.

In 2019, The Pat's defense held the Rams to 3 points. 3 points. Heck, his offense only scored 13. Brady didn't even have a touchdown pass. But that win means he's the goat, huh?

The Falcons scored 1 touchdown in the second half. If they score 10 points, Brady loses. He had nothing to do with that, but gets all the credit.

Of course, lets not forget if Carroll just hands the ball off to Beast Mode Brady likely loses that one too. His defense made a play to win the game while he was on the sideline.

It's a team sport. Super Bowl wins does not mean you're the goat. And that's not even to mention the multiple times they have been caught cheating but I digress.

If he gets credit for all those wins, then he should take blame for all his losses too. That loss tonight was all on him

The TV advertisers and the networks want 16 teams, so it has been destined to happen from the beginning. And then everyone will argue about who got left out anyway and also the brackets.

Okay, good to know we should subtract one of Peyton’s two Super Bowl rings because his DEFENSE beat the Panthers and he didn’t do anything that game.

Your logic is so incredibly flawed. Sounds like you just hate Tom Brady.

My logic is sound you've just bought the lie that team wins gives an individual GOAT status. That's stupid, but most believe it for whatever reason.

Since you bring up Peyton, he's a perfect example. Peyton had one defense his entire career as good as what Brady had in NE and what he had in TB last year. Peyton was a shell of himself with a noodle arm and he won a Super Bowl. Give Manning those defenses his entire career and how many more SB wins does he have?

It's a team sport.

I've never said that Brady sucks. But he gets credited as the GOAT for team wins like the one he nearly had. The goat he is not.

I still think Brady is the GOAT, but this stat gives credence to the fact that it is debatable. I saw this last year and saw it again recently and sent it to a friend. The percentages probably aren’t up to date but they are still ballpark figures.

I don't scream anything myself. In measured tones I recite the wins needed to win the division EVERY YEAR, home field advantage EVERY YEAR and the playoff games EVERY YEAR. He's never knocked out til the end...and it didn't change at 44. Similar team that he won the Super Bowl with in NE, didn't meet those standards his first year away winning another SB. The GOAT thing is a human invention...subject to individual opinion. Mine is he took that title in the SB win against the Falcons. It's not ONE win it's the collection. Not trying to change your mind, just expressing mine.

It's a team sport. This stat proves it more than anything I've said. But when it comes to football, people don't recognize this. It's really remarkable.

We’ve got a front row seat seeing all these SEC teams lapping us in the portal. I hope Josh Heupel’s got this. Surely he does.

I’m sure if I looked back through the annals of football history, I could look at box scores and statistics to find support for practically any argument I want to make. I’m sure it’s possible to find a reason why Player X and not Player Y won a game for Team A.

The GOAT conversation is extremely subjective obviously, but it’s easy to just pick things out like you did with Brady and argue that he didn’t really win any of those games and he’s just lucky.

The fact is Brady did win all of those games. And, if you don’t want to believe he’s the GOAT, that’s your perogative and it’s fine, but I just find it odd to dissect his accolades and find reasons why it’s not that impressive when you could do that for literally any player or team.
