Another way to think of it - if the NFL set the 2 pt conversion to half the distance - 1 yard...you don't think people would be going for 2 almost all the time?

There's a reason it's set at the 2...it's basically a 50/50 decision at that point ~47% (.94 EV) for a 2 vs ~93%(.93 EV) for an XP. At 1 yard, it would be an easy choice going for 2 all day.
I think there is an old school pre- or extra-analytics motive/reasoning for going for 2 there, as well. Going alpha dog from the one to establish a point. Some old school guys with a back like that from one would have gone for the TD on fourth down there. Same motive.

Please show me a HS program that generates as much as UT does. If the college football product was not as good, then it would not generate as much cash as it does now, that's not even remotely debatable.

Our college product was not awesome for over a decade, yet we all throw tons of money for Tennessee Volunteers apparel, etc. This is due to our love of the University of Tennessee. Not because of any particular player.

I agree with McGill. My love of Rocky Top didn’t stop during the debacle of pruitt/dooley/butch/kiffin. Jmo

@peaygolf Remember when Percy Howard caught the Super Bowl TD pass?
Yes I do. Only catch of his career.
Percy was a he!! of a basketball player. Until this year, he was the only Gov to catch an NFL pass.

I think I just pulled a muscle literally just playing with my kids. Getting older sucks. Good grief.

Glad to hear that. DVT in the thigh is inherently unstable and therefore deadly. Most people find out that they have one by being killed by it. It’s the scariest thing for my job because it’s so deadly so quick if untreated. It’s a sneaky bastad too. Sometimes no signs at all but dying from it…

With no fans, it’s just intramurals.

Yup, team physician for UTA and the number of fans in the stands is awful. It’s a good school and they put competitive teams for their conference. Fan support is ridiculously low. I have covered baseball games when they beat TCU and Baylor. I hate it for their players.

Hopefully NIL and transfer portal doesn’t destroy fan support for P5 level.

I said, "Going to get to......."

Did not say it was happening today
That’s the thing though man teams like Alabama and Georgia tend to sign a full high school class thereby not allowing them to have enough scholarships to take advantage of the transfer portal but maybe for a few players here and there…the transfer portal will even out the talent discrepancy for the other teams waiting for their chance jmo

Yes! Although my pastor’s wife has been dealing with this for weeks. Tests show no blood clot, and insurance just refused a MRI.

If the doc puts mass (potential tumor) insurance won’t deny. Maybe a specialist referral would also help.

Insurance company inappropriate denials for diagnostic testing is pushing the medical community to sometimes practice inappropriate medicine. Anytime I get a denial, my pre-authorization people know request the insurance guidelines for the particular diagnostic test and for the diagnosis. Once you know their guidelines, it’s easy to use their guidelines against them. Many docs are so overwhelmed that they just concede it as a denial and move to plan B.

It pisses me off so much (having an insurance act like they know medicine better than I do) that I spend the time to word the note that totally complies. My denial rate is very low because I don’t like to lose to the villains.

I actually relish the peer to peer calls. I enjoy letting the mercenary insurance doc know that I know their guidelines better than they do.

One of the many reasons that I live in VN past…🤠
