I feel Turnage will hold serve at Theo’s spot and Williams will be an upgrade at corner. All depends on the development of Rucker or whomever opposite him.

Slaughter will likely be the nickel. I think Rucker should play N or S as well like he was recruited. Turnage should really grab a CB spot on outside.

I'm not demanding anyone's head yet but there has to be accountability. Pruitt's deadline has come and gone and there hasn't been even a whisper on his end which tells me that he indeed screwed up bigly and that fault is mainly his rather than UT's (his lawyer would've gladly carried out his threat if he could've done so without harming his client) but my conclusion isn't based on hard evidence. It's based on comparing his behavior to how people have acted in similar situations and while I think the conclusion I've drawn is correct it's still not proof of anything. UT can't hide from it forever and the longer they avoid addressing some things the more it looks like they have a share in it. That's why it needs to be addressed and dealt with.

The autopsy has been done and the dead body is starting to stink. Time to take it out back and bury it.
What is it exactly that you want to know? We all know the dumbasses were indiscreetly paying some players, and giving them cards and cash to party with and other stupid stuff that wasn't hard to prove...that is enough for me. I don't need to know details of who got how much and when..

VQ scuttle that the coaches liked Rucker at CB...speed thing. Slaughter translates more to safety imo. Turnage impressed to the tune of SEC DPOW in his one start. Likely more with a full offseason of workouts.

Texas is arguably the biggest brand in all of college football and he took less money from them? To stay closer to home after putting up with 2 years in Wyoming? Come on man! You got bargaining power.
I don't believe he took less..I think Texas offered to match whatever we offered and instead of getting in a stupid bidding war over a #2 WR they let it go.

The problem being I don't only see what is wrong. What is completely ignored is me praising the coaches and the job they did this year. That doesn't change the truth of us struggling in recruiting. People want to see positive or negative. I see both and am perfectly willing to acknowledge they coexist. This staff did a tremendous coaching job. We've also struggled in recruiting. Both can be and are true. There are many whys as to why we've struggled in recruiting, most well beyond the control of the staff, but it doesn't change the fact we're missing on players the staff clearly hoped to get. It's okay to acknowledge that without people screaming, "you're being negative!". Truth is truth, and no amount of half full half empty glasses will change the truth.

I’ll toss in my two cents. For me - the repetitive nature of the expressing of concerns is what grates. I think everyone recognizes that we’ve missed on some guys and that shows that the coaches are missing the mark (struggling) somewhere. I think all of us look forward to the coaches turning this brief trend around.

I appreciated seeing your comments today that you recognize the coaches are identifying the players they want and clearly have a plan/vision for the team. It was a nice change of pace.

Easy there, Devo. Y'all gotta keep this to yourselves, or you're gonna spoil the arguments for the "we're stupid because we did this to ourselves" crowd.

I've been in a position of business leadership for over 30 years. In my experience, while people in leadership are certainly fallible, they are frequently making decisions based on information that others don't have. It's rarely as straightforward as it appears to you when looking in from the outside. Not that I would expect that to change anyone's mind, but absolute proclamations of incompetence are kinda silly.
It's even more complicated. I'm not sure somebody didn't do us a solid, with or without such an intention.

And, on a distantly related note, the complaints about the "do it right" rhetoric: wtf else is someone supposed to say?

I have liked Turnage since the day he stepped foot on campus. I'm excited to see him at full go.

Yes it was. Hated to see the name (the one I saw)...but also to seen it being thrown around. Kinda effed up, especially if wrong.

Outing a whistleblower is super low...almost like doxing an RF member.
That all depends on the motive...from what I heard, the person had honest motives.

That is why I don’t get involved with mama jokes. I know some have lost their mom and would never say anything that would hurt someone, even in jest.
I lost my mom and I refuse to let them bother me...it's just silly old jokes that are often funny. Nobody ever does those to be hurtful...they mean nothing.

Caveat..I do think that people should try to be mindful of recent events...or just don’t engage with people that don't have a sense of humor.
