Don’t think that will work out too good for you. (Ask how I know?)
I got him a power washer a few years ago. He liked it but works a lot soI have used it more lol. But he’s happy that I do it so he doesn’t have to. I like having a gift to open whether I like it or not.Going on 25th year of marriage. My wife and I buy what we want for the other to gift us…that way it’s the perfect gift. (For bigger gifts) We still get little things that we think the other wants too.
Bad gifts brought us to this agreement.
For Father’s Day many years ago, my wife bought me a power washer. (Never ever wanted one, she bought it cause she wanted it) Years later, (power washer had died), I got her 2 power washers for Valentine’s, one for home and one for the lake house.
We came to an agreement, gifts are wants or desires. Needs for the house are never ever gifts. We just get them.![]()

So sorry to hear this. Prayers for you and your family. Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers.
As many of you know, my dad has been suffering from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. It's basically a lung disease where your lung tissue just hardens with scar tissue. Idiopathic means they don't know what causes it. There is no cure other than a lung transplant.
He was diagnosed a little over two years ago, just a few months before my mom died of Alzheimers disease. He progressively got worse where he literally could not convert air to oxygenate his body.
He's been ready to go for some time. He passed early this morning a little after 3:00AM.
My dad and I were literally best friends. He was in business with me until retirement when he quit to care for my mom. No way I could have gotten this business off the ground without him. It's a huge loss for me but I take comfort in that He's no longer suffering.
Again, thanks to all my friends here who prayed or just had us in your thoughts. Please continue to pray for peace for our family. He was really a great man that everyone that knew him loved him. I seriously don't know of anyone that didn't like him.
Thanks to @LA Vol and @Orange Studs who were always asking about him. This is a community of some really great folks here. Thanks, @Freak for giving us this platform.
Finally, if your fortunate enough to still have your parents around, please give them a hug. They won't always be there.
At least it was not a vacuum cleaner. @engineerVOL has not been the same since he made that "choice."Me and the daughter love it, used it today. The wife was like mehkinda ticked me off

Well Doc I wish that was my only project. Apparently I am completely remodeling my entire house, inside and out and the lovely wife continues to make plans. So far the list consists of replacing the windows and siding. I just built a garage. Remodel the kitchen and both bathrooms, redo the flooring through the entire house and pour a patio. Fun times.I got a shop vac one year, but I really wanted it. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I love tools and use them around the house all the time…
My current project is to rebuild my wife’s above ground gardens that I built her 10 years ago. I am improving the design so that they will last 20+ years this time. She loves gardening and growing her own vegetables. She gets upset in the Summer if she has to buy vegetables that she could have grown. It’s amazing how much better home grown tastes. Now, I just need the weather to cooperate…![]()
Both can be true…. We need to do better on 3rd downs and we are still going to be on the field a lot bc of the style of offense we play….. look at the stats……. We gave up 3.9 ppg in the first quarter when we were fresh….. 11 ppg in the 2nd quarter( this was when we mainly sent in back up players to give guys a break)…. Decent in the third 5.7 ppg and 8.15 ppg in the 4th…. I have said this before but I watched a show and it said that the difference between good low major defenses and P5 defenses is the ability to rotate to keep guys fresh….. if we have been able to develop our backups this year…. Our defense will be much improved imo.
Next time I’ll proofread my work on a message board lol1. I was matter-of-factly clarifying his status with the university.
2. I have certainly experienced this "add/drop" period. I have two degrees, and I'm currently completing a third.
3. Next time, I'd recommend making sure your subject-verb agreement is in order.
My wife and I do the same thing and it's the best arrangement out there. I always get what I want, and she gets what she wants. It's failsafeGoing on 25th year of marriage.
