@volfanbill

Shoveling/breaking up ice stinks. Living on a private drive had some down sides.

But my Garmin thinks all the shoveling I did equated to getting my 10000 steps in
How many calories did it say you burned?

How many calories did it say you burned?
I didn’t set it up as a workout, but based on heart rate (which I guess is how the workout measures it anyway), it says I’ve burnt 3,140 calories today total. And I spent most of the morning working from home just sitting at the laptop (does that mean I can say I have a life?)

Yeah I guess that's in Kcals? I'm still not sure about the difference in the different calories. How many total steps do you have today?

I've come to the conclusion that my watch is not perfectly accurate but it's close, but more importantly, it's consistent.

The steps when I set it on exercise/walking is extremely accurate. But when I'm doing something like working in the garage or kitchen, it adds more steps. At the end of a normal day I figured it's off by about 2-3% give or take. I'm comfortable with that.

The body composition and blood/oxygen are not perfectly accurate, but they are close enough to give me base numbers to work with, some match my doctors numbers and guidelines, which is awesome, but again, the consistency is where I trust it.

My body composition numbers, blood/oxygen and ekg numbers and readings are off, but they're consistently of the same all the time.

I accept its not a medical device, but it is a great tool.

I’m genuinely curious, do y’all pay attention to calories per day?
I just try to get really good workouts in so I don’t care. I monitor calories I eat though.

And @Behr,

I’ve tested mine by counting 100 steps and even 500. It’s very consistent. I even have it set up to know my stride when I run to count those steps. It varies itself if I’m running faster or slower, but still fairly accurate.

That said, I didn’t walk 10k steps today. But the workout I got breaking up and shoveling ice for 3.5 hours has me covered for working out today

I like that screen.

I've got 9069 steps today and burned 364 calories. Doc says he thinks mine is underestimating calories by 10%. His opinion.

I don't understand the Floor thing either.
Floors today are way off. When I hike, it’s very accurate. Not sure how it miscalculated today so badly

Also as for the screen, I love how it breaks down runs/hikes/bike rides, etc. the app provides tons of information

At my age, goodness knows I need to take care of myself better. Even though I’m a known junk eater (pizza, tacos, hamburgers, junk. If I’m going to eat that junk goodness, it’s going to be worth it), but I load up on veggies. So far I’m good on all areas.

That’s what I do. I make Americanized tacos with with ground chicken instead of beef as a meal prep about every other week. I use the soft carb balance tacos to limit calories as well. And I’ll add a salad or something to go with them to fill me up instead of eating four tacos. When I make burgers, I typically don’t use buns. Just covered in sautéed peppers and onions

Mine does as well, but it gives less info than yours on one screen. This is my version of what you posted. Then I can enter each one of those and get massive info including graphs, like I'm sure you can too.
