The CDC has changed the metrics. Now the AP is changing their reporting of those metrics.

Why? It's literally two "separate" entities changing their narratives. They are both doing so from a way that was damaging to the previous regime, to a new way that is favorable to the current regime.

This is a pretty big jump: "The forecast could mean an average of 2,624 Covid-19 deaths a day, up from a current average of 1,715 per day, according to JHU data. "

For reference the Delta surge hit a high of just over 2000/day and that only hit for one day; it ran about 1800 for the surrounding week. The single highest daily rate (7 day avg) was 3341 during last years January surge.

Count me as skeptical.

Is it a disaster if you're sick with a cold for a few days? It's Winter. These things happen. My Dad is a polio survivor. He's now using a walker because of it. He ought to be laughing due to people's fear over this virus

Covid-19 did not significantly increase the number of respiratory disease deaths for teenagers age 13 to 18 in 2020 according to the CDC WONDER database.

But lockdowns, mask mandates, and school closures did nearly DOUBLE the number of teenage drug and alcohol induced deaths.

How many teenagers were pushed into anxiety and depression by unscientific, malicious public health policy

I got it in December 2020. Was the weakest head cold I've ever had. Losing my taste and smell was way worse. I just got over Flu A this Christmas. Felt way worse than covid. And I had pneumonia back in 2015. I'd rather have the first two combined than pneumonia again.

“I believe the pandemic and systematic extermination of billions of people will lead to an effort to consolidate all the countries in the world under a single flag with totalitarian rule,” Bateman wrote.

“I pray that I’m wrong on this. Utah has got to stop the vaccination drive. Warn your employees. Warn your friends. Prepare. Stay safe,” Bateman concluded ominously.

Some of what Bateman says in his letter is not uncommon in far-right conspiracy communities according to Al Jones, founder of the Q Origins Project, which tracks conspiracy theories and extremism online. Jones is a pseudonym he uses online because of the threat posed by some of these groups.

“It’s clear he (Bateman) is hanging out in some far-right communities online. The belief that the pandemic is actually a plan for mass genocide is extremely widespread in conspiracy communities. But, the belief that Pope Francis is a secret Jew is pretty rare,” Jones says.

Without saying to much, I will say I am glad I am in the mental state I am in when this happened. If this whole shindig happened some years ago it would have been a different story for me completely.

That’s a major problem because the death count is distorted and we have no idea by how much. That reported number is grossly affecting the risk-benefit analysis applied. Leading to the terrible policies implemented that are crushing businesses, the economy, individual liberties, the supply chain etc.

When my mom was in ICU before passing, we knew she did not have covid. WE knew what the situation was that was leading to her unexpected death. We informed the staff that under no circumstance were we to find Covid listed as her cause of death in her paperwork.
