This separation makes sense. @LA Vol is it a correct assumption that any donor funding into UTAD will still have tax advantages and pumped directly into the program (facilities, salaries) while keeping the NIL managed externally absolves the UTAD from any potential misappropriation of funds?

Yes, the separation between the university and Spyre keeps NIL funding clean. UT is not involved with paying student-athletes; NIL funds pooling and deal brokering is handled by Spyre, operating as a third-party collective.

Donating directly to UT will be handled the same as it has been, through UT's traditional giving initiatives. Donors can earmark funding for specific sports, projects or endowments or let UT funnel funds into priority areas.

Agreed. The game has changed. We need to adapt and conquer the new paradigm. Flexibility and fluidity are required. People who stay with the "That new fangled passing game is just a fad" will suffer tremendously and be left behind quickly.

Not a bad thing. Somebody eventually bites or outright hires him sooner rather than later. Tony Dungy has a longer HC tenure if this requirement was in place decades earlier.

While I agree to an extent, HE (and we as a result) GOT SCREWED by that ACC crew that called the bowl game, out of the 4-5 interference calls he was hit with, only one was truly interference, and the big TD he gave up on that 1 on 1 was offensive PI IMO, still would prefer him as a backup at this point
