Probably so. That's really what would be necessary to effectively block most respiratory pathogens. The goofy unsanitary cloth masks (that go on and off via hands on the way into the store, get pulled down all day, etc), magic plexiglass, little stickers on the floor that tell you where to stand, blah blah blah is all theater and could actually do more harm than good.

That being said, many of us who have achieved immunity and are vaccinated against influenza haven't worn a mask in a long, long time, unless doing something that might splash nastiness on our faces (surgical procedures, blood draw, cath, etc).
