I’m so glad we won’t have this problem. Earlier this week my 4 yr old son and I were out shopping and I came across a fleece head cover, typically worn when hunting, and I commented that I needed one for running in cold weather. He laughed at me and told me not to get it because I would look like one of the “Covid people”. I chuckled on the outside and beamed on the inside.

I’ve noticed a distinct difference in my kids when compared to their cousins. Their cousins are being led by parents that have become terrified of Covid. While I am happy for my kids, I am disappointed to see the brainwashing by so many parents.

Same thing on my marriage side. My 6 yr old nephew had Covid earlier this year and I asked my wife how they knew? She said her sister got him tested and when I asked what his symptoms were, it was a runny nose/drainage; I snickered and walked off. Fast-forward six months later and he was in-line to get jabbed at Vanderbilt Children’s as soon as it was available, despite having contracting Covid and having nothing more than the typical snot-nosed children’s cold. I asked my wife why and it’s because my MIL is recovering from breast cancer and I pointed out that my nephew has not stopped seeing his grandparents for the last 2 years outside of his 10 days of Covid and he hasn’t killed them yet. The illogicalness of their actions and reasoning is lost on these people.

Last Christmas Eve we attended church with them outside and both parents constantly stayed on him to keep his church-mandated mask over his nose, meanwhile I finally snatched my son’s off and put it in my pocket because he refused to keep it on and family member in attendance spent half the service touching his trying to put it back on.

This goes back to what I said yesterday. In no other time can I remember us protecting the older generations at the expense of the younger generations. Protect grandma at the risk of losing the children.

We are in a wicked world right now.

Honestly? I believe it's because addressing the root issue would result in a massive reordering of the world as we know it. The CCP does not stand alone; Russia would step in, as would North Korea. We are already experiencing what happens when we don't get enough cheap **** from China.

The world isn't willing to give up cheap labor and cheap products and access to rare earth elements in exchange for shutting down the threat to stability found in China's laboratories.

Agreed and in this case, it’s also putting your mother above your kid, not just youth in general. Whatever happened to woman leaves mother and father marries man and they become one (ensuing family to follow is implied)? Remaining years of life left aside, there comes a point that your own children should become the most important things in your life, above your parents for sure and perhaps your spouse; it should’ve happened at their birth.

I didn't get it. So something worked. Guessing it was a combination of lower viral shed from the kids due to their recent vaccination, me being boosted, and wearing high quality 3m and Honeywell masks.
