I haven't followed '23 QB recruiting closely yet, but this appears to be a good plan. I think a couple of fall back options would work out quite well here.

Could be. The difference between an overall #5 and #12 (ish) is subjective and fit of play style is more important.

I am good with either one of them. I think both are elite, game changing QBs. I will say that getting a chance to build a good relationship in California for recruits would be huge.
