Eventually, after many more years of gnashing teeth, the ultimate Covid policy will be developed. For athletes and the average worker alike. I call it...

"If you don't feel good, stay home"

Such a policy could be so revolutionary, it's development may even be worth the last two years of misery.
Such revolutionary thinking. I’m not sure we’re ready for it!

Exactly.

It's crazy to me that we're still treating this as if it's 2020. Yes, 2020 was rough. Had several friends I knew that died or suffered through and slowly recovered. But it's not 2020 anymore. In December 2021, we have vaccines, treatments, and now effective, approved antiviral pills. People have had time to accept their own level of risk and prepare accordingly. Most of us have moved on. At some point we all have to accept that it's now an endemic illness and begin treating it as such.
What event is that tornado from in your profile picture?

how the mutations/variations work from what ive read. More transmissible, stronger up front. Less downtime.

It is stupid. 80% or more of people are vaxed and can still get it. Used to be, if a player had the flu they sat. The rest of a team would still play. The symptoms of omicron, for most healthy people, are less than even the seasonal flu. It does not make sense to cancel a multi-million dollar sporting event because a couple of players got "the flu" a full week before the game. Just keep all other players away from them and watch for symptoms. But you still play the flipping game.

Shoot, they wouldn’t sit them if they had the flu.

No question. No athlete in any major sport has been hospitalized or died from Covid.
That Florida basketball player had the myocarditis after covid infection back in 2020 I believe. But still not worth shutting sports down though obviously. Life is dangerous, these kids are risking CTE and other permanent injuries on the field/court but acting like they care about player safety from covid 🙄
