Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Will be interesting to see the outcome of a society that stops listening to the professionals on given topics due to conspiracy theories. Don't take away my liberties, dammit!!

Questioning is different than not listening to. And how many times does a "professional" have to be wrong before you start questioning them?

Plenty of professionals out there that contradict idiots like Fauci. They are censored by the MSM so their voices aren't heard by the masses. You have to do a little digging to find them. Don't confuse skepticism and critical thinking with conspiracies.

Individual liberties once relinquished will not be reinstated. That's not a good trade for questionable or incomplete research

There's also the possiblity that the younger mask wearers weighed the risk/benefit analysis and made personal decisions on their own without media interference or influence.
Tbh the young has been brainwashed. Forcing masks on young people is what led us to leave our church. I was on the children's council so I saw that we lost more than was gained with the stance. They said to respect everyone yet only one side was ever represented. This from a Methodist church on the side of inclusion in the recent debate. It's strange

They’re just not very good at math then seeing as how they’re 14 yr old is statistically at no risk of death unless they’re highly immunocomprimosed; the odds of every person under 40 in there being immunocomprimosed are bout the same as dying from Covid.

Many liberties expedite disease and death and are cautioned by professionals. What makes Covid so different in your opinion?

Was at home by myself this weekend and it was the first time in church in 4 years without having to tend to a kid, so I could actually pay attention and notice my surroundings. I would venture to say the average age of our congregation is in somewhere their mid 60’s. There was exactly two people in this age category and up who were wearing masks yesterday. Every other person (probably 10-12 total) who was masked was 40 or less. I’m thoroughly confused. Either the older demographic has accepted their potential fate and risk given their ages or they’re still intelligent and logical enough to grasp the situation. We know the later is at least partially true as they’re not influenced by social media
In a very specific setting like that, who knows. I was speaking more about the blue checkmark brigade on Twitter and elsewhere.

In media and on the internet (I know that isn't a completely representative sample either), the people most petrified about this virus are triple vaxxed people in what would appear to be low risk groups. I think that it is a political signaling thing, but could be wrong.

Also, pretty much every time I've seen a person wearing a mask with absolutely no one around them (i.e., while driving a car with no one else in it), it's either a young or middle-aged woman. This was far more common in the early days of the pandemic, but I still occasionally see people doing it. I don't think I've seen a dude of any age doing it.

Exactly. What right does this guy have to talk about viruses??

I'd much rather get my info from Trump and his top-notch medical advisors, facebook, and Fox news!!

Considering it looks like Fauci approved gain of function research on viruses and the lab in wuhan received financial support from America, he needs to be talking a lot about viruses. Just not in the way you're wanting.

Trump isn't giving medical advice and neither is Fox News. If you want to stick an experimental gene altering drug into your body then by all means feel free to do so. The silver lining to all this besides the impending Nuremberg style trials will be the eradication of low browned simpletons who blindly stuck their arms out for a cold virus with a 99.9% curability rate instead of opting for Proven Therapeutics...😂😂😂😂

Q much?? Geeze...it's entertaining to see the idiocy spewed due to the exposure to propaganda.

Didn't Fauci contribute to a lot of deliberate mistreatment of people during the initial outbreak of AIDS? And hasn't he been provably linked to funding a load of ethically questionable research? And didn't he himself say things along the lines of masks don't work, the vaccine may be bad, etc.?

I think a guy with a record of failure ought to be questioned. Maybe I'm just an idiot though.

He will never be questioned by mainstream media because he came to be seen as a foil to Trump during the 2020 campaign and is still perceived by progressives in that way. They loved the guy (and Birx too, especially after she gave confused looks at Trump briefings). He's a political symbol, just like the mask itself.

I loved it when Rand Paul interviewed Fauci. Fauci looked like a worm in hot ashes. He was probably saying to himself "I can't wait to get back to CNN!" lol.

...and notice how infrequently he is placed into that setting. The only times he is publicly challenged on anything is in little 5 minute segments in a hearing in front of Rand Paul or Ted Cruz, who are political hacks themselves. He's basically never pressed by the media or anybody else in any other setting, even though he hasn't done much other than make contradicting (not contradicting Trump, contradicting himself), confusing, and impractical statements since COVID began.
