Nolen: "If I was looking for NIL money..."

Whatever you think lunger. You attack a kid because he chooses another school and say it's only because of money. Yet we are under investigation for paying recruits? Your double standards have no boundaries I see.

What kid is going to turn down money when it’s considered legal now?

Use your head for once.

Really, the children of the first class at UT were dead by the time Texas had a university. Probably a decent amount of their grandchildren were dead as well. Their great grandkids were fourth generation Vol grads by the time Texas came into being.

yep, if you were an 18 yo freshman in 1794 you would be 108 y o when Texas had their first class. So you are correct with the average life span then, probably 3 or 4 generations of Vols before a Longhorn U was born.

The 5 Yell Leaders who are upperclassmen in the Corps of Cadets. A&M has largest uniformed body of students in the U.S outside of our military schools.. I'm sure you knew it use to be a military school. So you're also anti military?
Quite a leap there Karen.

I doubt many kids are going to turn down money, legal or illegal. This post was about Nolen's comment. I don't know if it's true or not. I merely pointed out that probably every school will use whatever means available to get the best players. Outside of schools that put education first. The good thing about the transfer portal is it will bring some parity to football. 4 and 5 stars do not like sitting on the bench. Maybe a few will transfer here next year.

A. It’s ALWAYS about the money, especially if someone says it’s not about the money.
B. He pocked a&m because none of the other schools pursued him.
C. If he’s the #1 player in America I’ll kiss yer ass, doubt that kid ever sees the field in any meaningful way.
So you would have felt the same way about him if he came here?

Just to be picky, Tennessee didn't exist as a state until 1796. It looks like UT effectively became the state university of Tennessee in 1869 when it was designated as the recipient of land grant funds. The name change to 'University of Tennessee' came in 1879. So we're still ahead of Texas!
