I been told ppl this Hooker is not the answer. Why would a qb lose his position at a lower P5 and be the answer here. I get sick of ppl getting excited about castaways from school we beat even when we have been down. If he can't sustain the position in the ACC he damn sure can't play in the SEC.
Another good call

**The recruiting staff along with the on field coaches have pored over the list of kids that didn’t sign early.
**I know people want names but digging around, Tennessee isn’t focused on many currently in the portal. There is an expected wave of kids post bowl games so Tennessee could look hard there. They could also wait on the wave of kids after spring ball.
**Let’s talk 2023 where Tennessee called their top ’23 targets on Wednesday. Some of those include Nico Imaleava, Carnell Tate, Caleb Herring, Desean Bishop and others.

Some regular season notes –

We were dead last in the conference at giving up sacks (42) which also ranked 125th in the nation.

For our run game, TFL’s were only 25, 2nd best in the conference behind Miss State. Removing sacks, they ran the ball 220 times, we ran it 476. Our run game lost the fewest yards in the conference due to TFL’s. Over the course of 12 games we lost a combined 46 yards.

In our 7 wins our offense averaged 50.1 points per game and our defense gave up an average of 18.1 points per game.

In our 5 losses our offense averaged 23.0 points per game and our defense gave up 40.6 points per game.

Our defense ranked 125th for most plays, Ole Miss ranked 126th. Fewer plays are better.

We played 5 teams that finished in the AP-top 25 while Kentucky played 1, South Carolina and Missouri each played 4, and Vandy played 3.

Our offense averaged 6.50 yards per play which was better than we have done in at least 14 years. Our defense gave up 5.22 yards per play which since 2009 is the best we’ve done other than 2009 (4.86), 2015 (5.21), and 2019 (5.01).

Back on March 3rd after posting my research on each member of the new staff I gave each a numerical grade. I’ve updated those grades for the 2021 season.

On April 21st I posted my projection for the 2021 season and since everything pretty much worked out that way I can’t really complain.

Score Prediction for the Purdue game: UT 50.1 Purdue 18.1

That’s a sloped earthen embankment under the old concrete bleachers. The field is actually lower than the street level on the west side. Pic below is looking south toward the river…

They should take a lot of that busted up concrete..bust it up into tiny gravel sized pieces, and then put it into those tiny Mason jars and sell it for five-10 bucks a pop...I know I would buy one.

He didn’t.. That was David Cutcliff, the only one he didn’t touch was Clausen. Ainge was getting worse before Cut got here, and openly admits he was the reason for his success.

Some of our fans and Fulmer are trauma bonded. The guy should have been fired in 05, then got a miracle when Cut was let go. The minute he left back to 💩.

Fulmer could recruit, but he got lazy after winning the Natty plain and simple.
Bingo! We have a winner..

And Mel Tucker has produced the best resume since. Karma

Watching Tucker the next couple of years will be telling. He has for sure maximized his efforts at MSU, but I am not sure I would be excited if we paid a guy that kind of money without a longer period of success. It sure looked bad getting absolutely waxed a few days after the deal was made public. He better produce a Big 10 SHIP soon and better not trend down or this will be a monumental PR nightmare. After all the accolades and the big payday he just finished 4th in recruiting in that league and about 10th if he were in the SEC. Not sure the ROI projections are warm and fuzzy. More of the same at a premium price has to be on some minds.

What guys from the transfer portal have visited so far?

Ryan Callahan:
Jared Verse and Gerald Mincey were the only two last weekend.

The weekend of Dec. 3, Tennessee actually received an under-the-radar visit from Auburn OL transfer Tashawn Manning, who ultimately chose Kentucky.

Those are the only ones we know of so far.
Somebody at Kentucky, or rather a group of somebodies has decided to invest very large sums of money into trying to win...and the Supercuts crew is making up their lost income from Pruitts downfall up there.

We need to nip that 💩 in the bud.

You can hate whomever you want. Fulmer was great for our program as a coach. I will choose to focus on that. He made a mistake with Pruitt. I don't get the hate that so many have for him.

Several? Good? No.
Uhmm yes they are..you're one of those blind sheep that was fine with him running the program right back into the ground because "he deserved to be able to go out on his terms".

That was a huge pile if 🦬💩 then and it is a huge pile of 🦬💩 now.

Yeah I remember at the time I wanted Pruitt, and so did most people. I actually believe Steele would have been better than most people think.

Every Fulmer basher loved the Pruitt hire. Slurped it up like crazy. Shoot, had he been hired a few years later, his money bag schemes would have been heralded because it was landing and keeping the guys in campus. I love Fulmer, it was ultimately a very bad hire, because Proot sucked at building a program, and he wasn’t really AD material but he doesn’t deserve the excommunication some on here desire. He definitely doesn’t warrant being called a cancer and a POS.

He is and will always be remembered for ushering in a large part of our fanbase and bringing glory to our program. I choose to remember him for that. I have too much hate in my heart for those that have run the program down and other folks in the sport, be he, he’s sort of an untouchable for me… but it isn’t blind, it’s a choice…. unless he does something morally egregious, 😝.

Lol of course TAMU leads for several of them. First time I’ve really looked at their class, 3 of the top 10 with two others 100% crystallballed to them which would give them 8 of the top 22… ain’t no stinkin’ way they didn’t break some rules.

I don't understand it either both them and UGA have 26 currently signed and are leading for more elite kids to sign. I just don't understand how the numbers work, I thought the SEC had a 25 cap on new signings.

I have a lot of respect for you but it does not mean I like you calling me a sheep because I disagree. We are both better than that.
