It is crazy how many families that I know whose lives have been destroyed by stinking drunks. I imagine all of you are like that...the number has to be astronomical.
Alcoholics run in my family. I had an uncle that had 6 DUI’s, he lived with my granny next door to me. He wrapped a station wagon around a tree above our swimming hole and luckily it was raining so we weren’t there. Then he laughed about it.

One day he fell out of his truck doing 40 around a curve and landed on his head. The only reason I went was because my granny asked me to. His son and I had to pick him up and run from the cops. We were driving off when they were a half a mile away when we took off. He would have died in jail because he had bleeding on the brain. In a coma for a couple months.

After he got out of the hospital we wouldn’t buy him anything to drink. He was the nicest guy in the world. My kids never believed me when I told them he was one of the meanest men I ever met.

Yes but they also had to take 7 3*s and have a mid 92 average.

Was in no way saying they're dropping off totally, but having a 2-2.5 pt average below Bama and Tamu and OSU isn't where they've been recently. Any step back is nice.

That gap is big. Just imagine going down from their average down 2.5 points...looking at a 90 average like a typical Oregon class or so. Huge gap. They're basically with a tier 2 class. That's good. We don't need Bama/OSU talent in our division year after year.
This is so stupid haha Georgia’s class is absolutely elite. That’s all that can be said about that. Averaging a freaking 93 a player is insane. They are not going down at all

I personally have extremely ambiguous feelings towards Fulmer. If you don't...good for you, but I don't see him the way you do, and I understand where the "disdain" comes from.

It's such a mixed bag for me too. I can appreciate the positive aspects of what he did, but also realize that he is a flawed individual just like the rest of us. His time in the spotlight is hopefully pretty much over.

flawed in that he has an ego. flawed that he was a really below average AD. he was a really good head coach who was in right place at right time.

Well spoken young man and will miss his locker room leadership !

When I watch football games I like to watch the defensive line for some reason. I'm not claiming to be an expert, but as a long time observer I can usually tell who's doing their job and who's not. For the last couple of seasons, I thought Butler was the most consistent on your DL. Not flashy, but he held his position and made plays. I can never predict what the NFL likes (other than flash), but I think he'll get an opportunity.

Every bit of it is self inflicted. He is honestly past the time where anyone should feel bad for him.
I still do, even if it’s self inflicted. Guess it comes from remembering my own bad decisions when I was younger. Sure I deserved the consequences, and I da*n learned from them. I just hate to see kids making a decision that will impact their life going forward and again, I hate this for that young man, and I stand by that.

rewatching 1994 section of DoD. Damn good man Fred Thompson recounts Phillip and David flying to LA to 'knock on Peyton's door.'

The Big Fisherman was the closer in the home.

There was a time when he was considered the best recruiting head coach in the country. I wonder every now and then where we would be had he not been fired in 08.

prob a few more 10 win seasons.

Randy Sanders is perfect example. Fulmer knew football, he surrounded himself with good coaches. Even Dave Clawson is a good coach.

Should have been allowed to retire on his own terms.
