We’re a very superstitious lot. Considering the last two (three if Dormady participated) Vol QBs who were counselors at Manning Passing Academy? Hooker should PASS if extended an invitation.

Here for the DAD. 😏
I was thinking more of Manning putting Vol players in his Papa John’s franchise and Anheiser Bush bottling company ads.

While opinions do vary....for me personally, Phil Fulmer will always be thought of as a true VFL in this household. My history goes back to his beginning with UT under Dickey and Battle(yuck) and in particular our 11-1 1970 season with Sugar Bowl victory over AF.
This requires the ability to separate. Mastered the art with Fulmer as a player, assistant coach, HC, AD and man. No one is as good as their proudest achievement or as bad as their most bitter failure.

Well said....at the end of the day it is not for me to judge another man's life !

They signed 5 five stars and 15 four stars. They’re not going anywhere down anytime soon.
Yes but they also had to take 7 3*s and have a mid 92 average.

Was in no way saying they're dropping off totally, but having a 2-2.5 pt average below Bama and Tamu and OSU isn't where they've been recently. Any step back is nice.

That gap is big. Just imagine going down from their average down 2.5 points...looking at a 90 average like a typical Oregon class or so. Huge gap. They're basically with a tier 2 class. That's good. We don't need Bama/OSU talent in our division year after year.

Looks like Mincey is a go, so we're at 21. Probably another 5-6 spots to fill.
Noooo give me all 32!!

I want an old school class with 40% of our players having never stepped onto a college football field on a Saturday, while a Democrat is in office, and immediately following after a Waning Gibbous moon.

I agree, but I will be surprised if we don't continue to take some 3* players, simply because that is who we think we can win with. In other words, the rating services' opinions may be unimportant to them.
Only a lazy coach relies on recruiting services. Good coaches bring the players to camp for evaluation. Our staff will be just fine because they know what they're looking for in their evaluations. If a player is a 5 star but a head case, he probably won't get a second look from UT.
