If that's the case, what's wrong with that? Every other American gets to do that. A scholarship is a fraction of the value they provide, in reality the schools should have a salary cap for the athletes if things were really fair.

Do you understand the concept of integrity in sports competition? This pisses me off because it totally ignores the most salient point...sports is not a normal business.

You will know things have changed if/when we start landing truly high profile athletes from the portal and from HS.

We landed good transfers last year from the portal. We are going to finish top 15 this year in recruiting and have a good start to the 23 class. I think we are doing fine as of now

Because BY is not a good example given he was already on campus getting rave reviews before he started making $Millions$ from NIL deals, I'm not saying you're completely wrong I just think this money slinging for unproven HS seniors will slow down a little when these business owners don't see the return on investment, that's all I'm saying...

Juwan mitchel to start with. Was Texas leading tackler and coveted. Also Brandon turnage was highly sought after including Georgia and clemson

It'll balance itself out relatively soon imo. The only players making big $ will be established players eventually.

If the NIL rules aren't specifically spelled out soon, it's gonna continue to be a recruiting tool for the best players available. What was under the table will now be on the table. It is what it is and some colleges will always have a big advantage because of their stature in the game. We have to figure out how to be in that category
