I don't understand the appeal of Texas A&M. [/B]They had a mediocre season propped up by an unlikely win against Alabama. They don't have a strong legacy of winning either in their overall program or through Jimbo (who's only had one really relevant, good team that I can recall). Their military-centric culture would likely be a huge turnoff for a lot of these players, and they are still considered "little brother" in their own state. Is it really just the money they're connecting players with through NIL?

Someone help me see what I'm missing here...

What a weird game. Loved the fight from the Vols though. One of those games where neither team really has an eye for the basket, and that sometimes happens with backdrop and lighting in an arena.

Long season, and I feel like they learned a lot from their loss to Villanova, and will learn a lot from this loss.

I think it's painfully obvious that we need BHH to step up and be a dominant player in the paint. He's so talented but doesn't play with a dawg in him, yet.

It isn't trash but in opening portion of our season we've learned we are seriously flawed whether by execution or design. I also don't think Fulky, but especially Uros, fit what we try to do very well.

Dude we shot 30 plus 3s that’s a big part. We shoot even 20% and we win. Other stuff didn’t help but we lived and died by the 3 today.

We need an athletic big man that can move, there was no space to do anything tonight and their length gave us problems, we don't have any answers.

That was so strange in every regard. Bad shooting amplified the space issue you raise. If you hit even 25% of your 3's that stretches the D for Chandler and Zeig to maneuver, but the sets were not designed for that. Powell only plays enough for 3 shots? Huntley-Hatfield sitting. Don't know.

this is twice in 8 games we have went stone cold. You can’t win any tourney like that.

We’re definitely getting bounced that first weekend but we’ll have some fun games along the way this season.

Meh. Hot take but he’s been a bust IMO.

Tyler Baron has been average this year, Byron Young was better, and Baron wouldnt even see the field if we get Jared Verse

Patrick Abernathy is no longer with the program. But was told a couple of weeks ago that Tyler Baron didn't intend to transfer.

Was also told 2 or 3 weeks ago that Jalin Hyatt also didn't intend to transfer. So unless things have changed with Baron or Hyatt, I don't believe they're transferring.

Holiday has been 50/50 for me since the middle of the season

That was uniquely awful. Even the officials sucked. I’m surprised they called fouls and didn’t let them bludgeon each other to death as penance for making us suffer through that. And end the game early for that matter.

TTU is a pretty solid team with great length and athleticism and good defense. This won’t be viewed as a bad loss
