How can a player/mom/dad see this and not want to play for this guy.. it's a recruiting warzone for the next week and he took the time and went out of his way to make sure he honored a former player.. we have a good one

I think those vids (and like the guy who recorded them I do recommend watching both parts) give us a glimpse of the measure of both men.

Kiffin had all the juice that year…. We were one year away from an east title and had hired an all star staff using helicopters and everything to bring in recruits…. The rest are perfect examples of my feelings…. Butch had the best class as he hit on a few studs….. he also had a class of 32 and had a ton of bad misses in that class… we can’t recruit 32 guys anymore…. If you go back and look at Pruitt and Dooleys classes….. I doubt either one of them would be too 20 if re ranked today…. We have to trust that the staff can evaluate guys until they prove they can’t…. Talent/fit matters more than stars until we are ready to start competing for championships.

That was the class that fell utterly apart tho. It was built on a ton of risks that Kiffin didn't need to take but did and it wound up biting us a great deal. Until Jeremy's portal group Kiffin's one class held the record for falling apart post-signing day.

Fight... Fight... Fight!

Plot twist: They had to take Cincy because there was no other way to justify taking UGA with a SOS in the mid 50s losing 'at home' in a beat down to a 1 loss BAMA team in their conference title game. Memba when late losses mattered because those happened after a team gained experience? Memba when winning your conference mattered? Memba when not getting blown out mattered? Memba when SOS mattered?

In all seriousness, how does the CFP Committee justify UGA without leaning into the SEC brand as the reason? I don't think they really can.

Weird question. . .

When is the 1st time you remember an interception being returned for a TD referred to as a "pick six"?
I don't recall John Ward ever saying it. After John, I stopped paying as much attention to the words. IMO, very few could paint a picture with words like John could.

Interestingly enough though. During John Wards time broadcasting, the other "best" broadcasters were announcing games too. SEC was chocked full of great announcers in the day. Obviously they were biased towards their own team, but man there were a lot of great ones. John was obviously the best of the best though. Unbiasedly speaking of course.
