Even odds with an insanely strong home field advantage.

We went 1-5 when giving up 30+ points. I sure hope the defense shows up ready to play.
True but that was 4 NY6 bowl teams...a 9-3 SEC team...and ofc UF...because UF...

Purdue couldn't even average 28 ppg in the B1G. They'll have their opportunities, sure and they'll throw it 40+ times which stinks, but they can't keep up imo. QB is a statue. Just keep discipline...tackle.

Meanwhile the Purdue defenders after one quarter...

People are always excited about change...until change comes, and it isn’t at all what they wanted or expected. And I hate to burst your bubble but there actually was a time when noble players gave their all for the university they played for, and they appreciated the degree they were getting also. Funny thing is, I have not watched any Olympics or pro basketball/football in a while. Always loved college football and recruiting. Already beginning to become apathetic to recruiting although come here often for the fans here. Whether you comprehend what other fans think about it doesn’t change the facts that some fans are more into the emotion/tradition of the game than professional athletes. We will see going forward how many fans are in which camp, and the effect it has on the game. Can’t wait.
I'm with you on this. I played sports growing up---baseball, basketball and football and I watched pro sports every week but that all changed for me when the players started acting like dumbs$$es. The only pro sport I watch now is golf, probably because I play golf pretty much every day :):). I'm strictly into watching college sports now. As far as recruiting goes, I try to keep up with what I can on this site because I live a 1000 miles from Knoxville and you don't get recruiting info from the local news :):). Our coaches are paid to do their jobs and that's good enough for me. Nothing I can do about recruiting anyway so I don't worry about it----life is better that way.

I highly recommend the book cited below to add some additional perspectives. My family met this gentleman, (Glenn Frazier) in Mobile Al. while he was still active and very much able to discuss that phase of his life.
I can't describe how humbled, inadequate & thankful I felt just listening to him describe what those soldiers experienced.

I’m familiar with him from the Ken Burns series. Fascinating story. How fortunate you got to meet him.
