Makes sense now. He fits into the group who had to find a new home.
edit: which also means he may not have been playing last few games because of a different reason unrelated to injury.
I am not implying that he took money from former staff. I have been told that he was recruited by former staff and really wanted to be coached by Jay Graham

The problem with these arguments is this is the very beginning and that 3 mil to Ewers has been lost with nothing to show for it for Ohio State. Yeah folks NIL money is flowing now, but when the donors get burned a few times by a recruit jumping ship, these waterfalls will dry up. Not completely dry but more along the lines of be on this billboard for 20 grand not a million.
I agree...Ewers is not a good example of what is going on. He truly was just a bad investment, or at least to this point he is.

Are we really walking around the obvious here?

Overlay the black population density map and there's your best correlation.

All of the southeast, plus major metro areas in other regions. The dots are smaller on the first map, but they exist almost everywhere as in the 2nd map. Outliers being Minnesota, rural Ohio, maybe Western PA.

Quite funny honestly. I thought the south was so rAcIsT too

Does anyone know anything about Jimmy C. And Jimmy H? I figured they’d be prime candidates for transfers, but they haven’t so far.

Hope Jimmy C stays, but really really hoping Hyams hits the road and gets as far away from Knoxville as possible.

Long story short.........

family from Japan moved to Jackson, TN when I was about 14 and did some business with my dad, and his daughter was in my class. Family's grandfather was Zero Fighter pilot that attacked Pearl Harbor that day. They had us over for dinner one night............and we listened to their grandfather and my grandfather talk about that day from their own perspectives. It was one of the most memorable moments of my life.

Holy smokes - what a memory that is! So many stories to tell of tragedy, joy, hope and so on. Thanks for sharing.

Dad was in the naval Air Force and eventually flew missions over China spotting Japanese troop movements. Wish he was still with us to talk about it. My wife just lost a wonderful uncle that was stationed there after PH and went on to serve on a ship during battles at Okinawa and other locations. He was recognized by Congress through Rep. Dana Harshbarger's efforts just a couple of weeks before he passed. He never harbored any resentment toward anybody, friend or foe.

that conversation should be preserved in some records somewhere. that is insane.

I have been reading about our recruiting class and many are up in arms because we aren't in the top 10 in the nation. We've averaged in the top 15 over the last 20 years and where has that got us. I know you can't win a race without good horses but lets get real about the numbers. You are really hoping that you can get 5 or 6 players from each class that can play meaningful roles over their time on the Hill. I know that most people myself included want 25 five stars every class but that ain't happening.

What we should hope for is that the evaluation of talent by this staff is to get the BEST kids that FIT this SYSTEM and can be DEVELOPED into really good players and can be the foundation of what this staff is trying to build. You do that you have a great chance to succeed but if you do as we have in the past, you more times than not get a lot of stars but very little fit and little if any sustained success.

Yeah, I just hope that we have the infrastructure to help get a guy out of that situation. I think we do so why didn’t we fix it for an elite talent like him?

It also depends on his attitude. He may be a great talent, but I get the impression that Evans was indeed a diva and didn't care to put in the effort in much of anything. I will defer to the coaches on these- if they think he is saving, then they would attempt to do what is needed. My guess is they believe they will get a RB that is just as good for next year.
