As long as we don’t fall asleep I think we will be alright.

Any word on the practice schedule for the bowl? I guess staff is currently still on the road recruiting?

This game will sort of complete a long circle for me. The first Vol game I can remember sitting and watching as a child all on my own initiative (not just sitting in same room as my dad) was the 1979 Blue Bonnet Bowl. So my “career” as a Vol Fan for Life began with a bowl against these same boilermakers. (Hopefully irony doesn’t strike and make this my LAST Vol game 😬😳😬)

Tennessee actually opened as +2.5 dog but the line has moved hard to -2.5 favorite
Right, this time yesterday it was -2 for Purdue. I wonder what happened for the line to flip like that overnight? I think I saw one of their star recievers won't play in order to prepare for NFL draft, but don't we got one like that too? I also wonder how much we will be favored by come game!

Different betting houses put up different lines. It's a business, they're not all controlled by one giant bookmaker in Las Vegas. :)

It is entirely possible that the journalist who wrote the article the OP quoted is right, and this particular betting house opened up with the Vols favored. Even as another betting house, which you two have apparently looked at, began with Purdue favored.

Both can be true.

The important part is that, no matter what the line, we're gonna whup Purdue's butt and it's hopefully not even gonna be close.

Go Vols!

FPI has
Vols @ 22
Boilermakers @ 25

Edit: on paper this should be a close game.
On paper their Iowa win is given way too much weight. They're insanely mediocre...such as having a negative YPP margin 😅 I mean they have an AWFUL offense. Expect UK to cruise them.

They also beat Mich St because they just threw the ball...against THE worst secondary in the entire FBS...dead last.

In short, wins are overrated. Not scared. We'll either win a 3-7 pt game or it'll be Mizzou/USCjr/Iowa/Northwestern 2.0 and over before it even begins.

Anyone ever been on the Purdue campus? West Lafayette is the center for NoWheresVille. Students who attend Purdue couldn't qualify for a real college. They are lonely, homely and BORING as the day is loooong. The campus kind of reminds me of a Low Security Federal Correction Institute and, you will never see a Girls of Purdue calendar, unless you are an Ag major. While their mamas will be happy that their boys aren't home for a few days during the holidays, them thar boys will be just plain ol miserable that they are away from their sisters for so long. Subsequently, their concentration level on the field will be jeopardized long enough so that the Vols can run the score up on them before they even notice.

Vols by 17 aaaaallll day long!

UT should win this game easily — time to party hard for a few days in Nashville at the honky tonks and eating some hot chicken

I completely agree. WGWTFA, William Hill knows it, MGM knows it, Ceasars knows it, Westgate ditto, Circa sports is wierd tho. I can bet them all and still come out ahead.
