Not really, you got yourself.

Call me when Pruitt teaches his players how to cover a slant.
I agree, I should've known better. I did get myself. You're absolutely right. What was I thinking, trying to talk to someone who knows more about basketball than Kellie Harper, and her 3 rings, all because he played it in Phys Ed, and watches it from a Lazy Boy.

Also, Pruitt coached against the screen well enough to win 5 rings...that's one for each finger. Now, I know it's not the class ring, with a sapphire or topaz birthstone, that you wear...but, it's enough to impress Nick Saban, so...

...for every slant comment you make, Jeremy Pruitt has a National Championship ring he has to take off just to see your lips moving...the glare of the diamonds and all.

Always find it hilarious, and a little concerning (because, let's be serious, it's delusional), whenever high school gym class hero's, or Lazy Boy Vince Lombardi's, think they know more than a Pat Summitt or a Nick Saban. The absolute, very moment that Saban has to fill his DC position, and Pruitt is available...care to bet who HE calls??

All the local radio guys are doubling down on Cristobal to Miami, I guess some info got out that manny Diaz is being made aware of the move and will be announced today. I laugh cuz I have a lot of friends that are big canes guys and one that is a “golden cane” which would be considered a lower level booster and I tell them all pump the breaks until the guy is standing at the podium.

I might have said the same, but after seeing how Oregon played against Utah I think Mario was already looking at Miami houses. The fact Joe Moorhead (their OC) has already left for Akron also makes me think the writing was on the wall a bit.

Jeremy Pruitt should never be hired as a HC again, and never should have been hired into that position in the first place; but, as a DC, he's one of the best, if not the best, there is in college football.

The last I'm saying. If you disagree, take it up with Nick Saban...or Jimbo Fisher...or Mark Richt. Combined, those three men have more football knowledge in their collective pinky finger, than all the people who would argue with them.

Agreed, they are also saying they are offering a big pool of money for assistant coaches. If they could somehow bring in Cristobal with his recruiting and get recently fired Joe Brady as OC that would be huge. He’s from south Florida too and he had that LSU record setting offense with burrow. I think it would be good for college football and Tennessee especially to have a strong canes team taking recruits from the gators and preventing Bama and Georgia from waltzing in and taking the best players. Plus it’s always enjoyable to drive 20 mins and watch good football!

I’m not saying Napier is the second coming of Saban and I don’t think it’s a home run hire for Florida at all….but most who are commenting on that clip are acting as though the ESD is the only time to sign recruits. He also has February and, most importantly, had the transfer portal to get some talent.

Oh but your lazy boy opinion is mo betta than mine. Lol

I have history on my side. You've got nothing. What has Pruitt accomplished without the aid of being on superior teams under great head coaches? Zero, nada, zilch. His three rings are no more impressive than. The ring on the walkon, backup 6 string kicker on those national championship teams. He's a poser.

As to the Lady Vols, I think Holly has some rings too. How'd that work for her.

And since you're so quick to minimize my basketball knowledge why don't you tell me what type of offense ol' Kelky is employing?

Which makes it even more unbelievably stupid that he would cheat in the patently obvious way he was cheating here. If he didn't do that, he might be Saban's DC right now.

I think that's just not true. There are quite a few "best in college football" DCs that have looked the part while being under Daddy Saban and not done it anywhere else.

And Florida State was an elite defense before Pruitt came to town, for that one season so I don't know how much of that was really on him.

2011 - FSU finished 4th in PPG allowed and gave up a total of 275 yards a game
2012 - FSU finished 6th in PPG allowed and gave up a total of 254.1 yards a game
2013 - FSU finished 1st in PPG allowed and gave up a total of 281.4 yards a game (Pruitt's DC season)

And the difference between 6th in PPG allowed and 1st was just 2.6. Also for what it's worth during the Jimbo Fisher era FSU never fielded a defense outside the top 50 in PPG allowed, and only finished the season with a defense outside the top 30 once in his tenure. Also people tend to forget that Pruitt while at FSU inherited a defense built by Mark Stoops, a coach that has actually proven to be an elite defensive mind.
