How does their waiting to fire him reflect on the degree of his ineptitude at coaching? Since when is someone so bad that you can't fire him? Those two things just aren't connected, as least as far as I can see. Typically when someone is SI BAD it's an easy call to just fire them mid-season.It makes it seem that he's so bad they need to find a replacement asap. It just adds to the bad image he already has from leaving his last job. . . he's so bad that they'd go to such an extreme to find his replacement.
I still don't see the link between Kiffin and Oregon. The Oregon fans have some interesting ideaS on their coaching big board.
So far I've seen them mention:
Kiffin (a lot)
Chip Kelly (2nd most)
Aranda
Joe Brady
Urban Meyer
Bill O'Brien and they're serious
Fickell
Longo
Herman has been mentioned a few times
Tony Elliot (serious)
Lanning
No mention of Heupel
Massive move and big day for Miami. I saw that their boosters are pushing to build a stadium in Coral Gables too, either on campus or near campus.
If their administration and boosters are aligned, they build a closer stadium, and they close on a big name coach that knows the program and the in-state football... they've fixed everything that was wrong with the program in just a few weeks.
Gives me hope for us
I think they're going to tear down an old school. USALOL Where is Miami going to build a stadium in Coral Gables at? There is no room at all and you have US 1 literally besides UM campus with millions of cars and traffic all day. Houses are already on top of each other in Coral Gables/Little Havana. The only thing I could see is possibly UM sharing the Marlins stadium close by instead of Hard Rock stadium in N.Miami.
