You would think that Music City bowl would want two teams where both fan bases would have to travel and get a hotel to spend a few days spending money at various attractions around the city....but most of our fan base will just either drive up the day of or the day before.
Guess it depends on who the stakeholders are. Obviously the city is involved in some way, but not sure they're up there with the major sponsors - who might just want TV eyes on the game, commercials, banners rather than caring about city tax revenues.

They’re making our past look… non-dysfunctional? Functional?
I find it interesting that so many are criticizing this, yet the opinion of so many here, and I think CFB in general, is that you're inept if you don't have your next coach lined up before you fire a coach.

The fact that it is going public is a separate issue and not the one being criticized.

Bowl game gets more attendance. 2 of the top 3 Music City Bowl game attendance numbers were UT games. Rounding out the top 4, the other 2 games were UK games… again, not that far to travel for them either. Downtown Broadway will still get a ton of business and the hotels definitely won’t be hurting as New Years Eve is the next day and hotels are absolutely packed around that time.
