I couldn't remember the "oversign" number, 7... Also, there were some stipulations about when a player transfered in the school calender which I didn't even try and decipher...

Probably been done for a while and he's been working on his coordinators. Really no sense in announcing it early. If the hire is good enough, some of the guys who went in the portal may come back. Signing day is 10 days away and a lot can happen in ten days----$$$$$$$ could start flowing to certain guys

Seems like all the other teams do it as quickly as possible with signing day so close. At the latest have it announced during championship Saturday for the PR. Not sure what can be gained by waiting if it’s a done deal unless they were coaching in a championship game.
