I agree..that dude is just wired differently. Anybody else and that empire would have crumbled a long time ago due to becoming soft and lazy...Saban is just never satisfied. That quality makes him a miserable human being, but a absolutely great HC.
He's his on boss and no one tells him what to do. That doesn't happen anywhere else in college ball. It will be interesting to see if the next guy has the same set up

Tennessee has always traveled exceptionally and spends a ARSE ton of money.... and we haven't been to a bowl in a while... but we are going down the road to Nashville.. someone missed out. Oh well, Purdue beat Mich St and Iowa, so not exactly a push over but we should roll them... finish strong with 8-5.

That all depends on if it is a coach that the real power behind the Alabama machine all agree on or not. If there is a power struggle and some want one guy and others want somebody else then it could get interesting...we know to well how that goes.

Maybe the administration will wake up and realize they have the wrong man in charge of the football team----just a thought :):)
No...what we want is for them to become divided again in a power struggle so the insane slush funds start drying up. That is what happened during Richts last few years.

Because some think UT has a birth rite to be in a "Fla Bowl" every year.

Come on man. Geez. I am one that was hoping for a FL bowl game but doesn't mean I feel we have a birth right and yes I much rather see UT go play were its warm instead of Dec. 30 at 2 in the afternoon on a Thursday. lol I want as much PR as these guys can get like Jan 1 bowl. Not sure what is wrong for hoping for that. lol

Then what took so long?
Probably been done for a while and he's been working on his coordinators. Really no sense in announcing it early. If the hire is good enough, some of the guys who went in the portal may come back. Signing day is 10 days away and a lot can happen in ten days----$$$$$$$ could start flowing to certain guys :):):)

I did say "some" feel that way. I wanted a bowl game in Fla as well. But those that say UT deserves it are the ones I was referring to.

I'm just worried about the weather in late Dec. I know it could be 60 and wonderful but chances are its going to be freezing and could be evening raining. If it rains it will kill that bowl game. And yes it can rain in FL but like my chances down there that it want be.

Nashville does know how to throw a party though..........

You would think that Music City bowl would want two teams where both fan bases would have to travel and get a hotel to spend a few days spending money at various attractions around the city....but most of our fan base will just either drive up the day of or the day before.
The city would want that, yes. Idk if the MCB has input from city reps. MCB probably cares solely about how many tickets they'll sell. Vols fans will come down 40 and Purdue fans down 65.
