I understand Brian Kelly wanting to have his own coaches in place, but letting go of Tommy Moffitt, who had been at LSU for 20 years.. I mean he was there with Saban and has been retained ever since by all the succeeding coaches since Saban, so that tells me his abilities are valued very highly, but obviously not by Mr. Kelly. IDK, not having a great strength and conditioning coach in place or having instability in that particular job, can lead to serious issues once the season starts for LSU. Right now, I say advantage VOLS, when we play them next year..

I didn't play linebacker on college. I played fullback. Also, the last scrimmage you speak of was in the rain, and like I said, the VFLs that attended (media was not allowed) said Milton was clearly the best QB. But, since you have such vast knowledge of our roster and apparently break down practice film everyday (because that's what college coaches do), who on the roster was this far better option than Beasley? I'll hang up and listen.
Didn't you read his post? CJH doesn't allow competition for positions. They had a lottery style drawing before camp started and Beasley was drawn to be the MLB so CJH didn't allow anyone the chance to play MLB.

Kelly would be wise to give Dave Lawson a call. He's never worked with Kelly that I know of (Butch) but he would be a great hire. He's just quietly tucked away in Cookeville currently.

Fair enough. I definitely agree more with visuals. I'd be more on board there for sure. And child pageants are 100x worse than either.

But music...well we all heard Madonna growing up and much worse I'm sure lol. Music washes past you in a different way.

But to each his own.

Wait...I just figured it out. You were the trucker, weren't you 😆 😉
I don't know what you mean by trucker, and I never heard Madonna or worse growing up lol.

Totally agree on child pageants.

I’m a hardcore Potter nerd (team Ravenclaw) and I can assure you that any of the movies past Prisoner of Azkaban do not follow the books. They all left out some incredibly important events/details; and don’t even get me started on the sh*t that was Half Blood Prince.

Disclaimer: I didn’t read your all’s entire conversation, but I’m assuming we’re discussing book to film/TV adaptations.
That's a HUGE stretch to say they don't follow the books. They definitely cut quite a bit, but none of the major themes or characters personalities or plot points were drastically changed.

The 80s are easily the worst decade in modern human history. Terrible fashion, largely forgettable music and many failed genres, the rise of the yuppie and wall street greed culture, and the cars were downright HIDEOUS. It's like everyone lost their mind and sense of aesthetics for a decade...maybe a little longer.

I blame the 1980 UGA football team. The world should never forget.
Now this is a good take from you, we're back on the same wavelength.

Karens get on a forum and complain about a show having "too much softcore porn", bud. Have you ever considered context? The sex was essential to the world build and many times moved the plot.Too bad it made you squirm. Talk about missing the forest for the trees.

Edited per request. I was trying to be funny.

What is really driving me crazy with the show is all the time wasted on conversations with characters that don't even exist in the books while ignoring that book 1 was an adventure by 9 characters with some great side characters. Constantly something dangerous happening, being hunted and chased by evil.

Instead we get to hear a Warder who isn't even in the books cry about an Aes Sedai who wasn't in the books. That 20 minutes could have been spent on something exciting. I mean, it's all freaking written out for them...they just have to not F it up. And Loial was terribly done. Tar Valon and Dragonmount were underwhelming, no Caemlyn, no Elyas Machera, no world building or character development among the main characters. Do they honestly think this is more interesting than the actual story?
I've always said this about adaptations. Why do they think they can wrote a better story than an international best selling book? The story is tried and tested and proven to be loved by millions, why are they so arrogant to think they can do better?

That said, I don't think the series has been THAT bad yet. Overall the major stuff is still unscathed. But it does make zero sense to abandon some of what they have for other stuff that isn't even that interesting.

I mean when you start name calling, that tells me you were easily offended by someone’s opinion and can’t handle an educated conversation. Also, overhead projectors are way outdated, which probably explains why you can’t handle educated discussions. I’ve found that Boomers who were taught with overhead projectors tend to be the ones who can’t handle other’s opinions and thus resort to name calling.
What about millennials taught with overhead projectors? I didn't see any other kind of projector until college.
