The Atlanta Braves

I was actually looking at Joe Burrow’s college stats the other day and we still don’t talk about the fact he threw 60 touchdowns in an SEC season enough
his completion rate was like 77% and he was just under 6,000 yards and those 60 TDs to 6 picks. Probably won’t ever see that again.

That passing efficiency is one we might never seen again, no. Burrow threw 4 TD passes a game against an SEC schedule.

For a point of comparison, B.J. Symons and Graham Harrell are the 2 guys ahead of Burrow for single-season passing yards. Symons threw 8 fewer TDs, 16 more interceptions and had a completion percentage 11 points lower. Harrell threw 12 fewer TDs, 8 more INTs, and had a completion percentage 6 points lower.

Burrow threw for exactly as many yards as Case Keenum did in 2009, but Keenum threw 16 fewer TDs, 9 more INTs, had a completion percentage 5 points lower, and wasn't playing in a P5 conference.

Colt Brennan threw 58 TDs in 2006, and was about just 100 yards less than Burrow, but he had double the INTs (12), a completion percentage 4 points lower, and was playing against WAC defenses.

Thought you were putting out the secret code for the life raft, bro
😔

I shredded my calf last week on a downhill slope. Tried to go for my shake out run today and barely made a mile before it tightened up hardcore. Bout to limp my ass through this half marathon Saturday morning

Damn that’s no good.

I did a 14 mile prep run this morning and it was freaking terrible. Such a grind. Hope next week’s 15 is better.

MLB owners/management trying to slow play changes in the game has nearly ruined the game as a whole over time. Always having this mindset of the old way is the best way and ignoring optimal changes until it costs you something... literally. The players are not asking for unreasonable changes, such as not being held in the minors for additional weeks just to save money and control at the end of a contract cycle, given the average MLB player hits "that" age and just doesn't improve. MLB ownership knows this very well and doesn't want to pay the average MLB player and then stack huge offers to the "exceptions". Bridging the gap between the two is not a huge ask unless you want kids to start playing other sports at a young age, then where is MLB in 20 years.

Baseball transcends everything. It’s so pure that no man or entity could corrupt it. Baseball was here before and will be here after.
