I hate FL as bad as a tree hugging vegetarian, BUT ....we was in the same boat last year and it appears we have our long term winning solution at HC....i hope you are right but just saying ....
And Napier is no Mullen. He literally took a 4-7 squad and won 10 games Y1 lol.

Sit back and enjoy watching Napier fail to do the same after being handed a better, 6-6 team.

Why do we want Mark Stoops to leave UK?
Seen his recruiting lately? And he might put up another 10 win season. Would be his 2nd already...and they've only had 2 all time.

And if people just want to talk W/Ls...our last 2 Ws were 50/50s...those are things you can't trust in long-term. Same as Napier wins...hard pass.

So, yeah, I'll take any other UK-level coach and they'll be far worse.

How long before NFL coaches start jumping to the college game to get into this spending frenzy? Crazy money out there right now.

Could certainly see someone throwing out major money to Rhule and Kingsbury and making them say no.
Prime time kids get their pay. This shiz is ridiculous and meanwhile universities like, here's your petty "CoL money" and non-cash compensation...meanwhile we're gonna pay your amateur head coach...*checks notes*...TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR 😆 What a joke lmao

That's the thing, they don't. That school is basically bankrupt. The state literally can barely budget to keep the doors open but they're about to pay this... insane.
Don't most ADs keep budgets separate from their school's? Most big P5 programs are self-sustaining and self-paying. Many even give back to the parent institute...just because.

For a fan base that thinks Kentucky is trash, there sure is a bunch of posts wishing their coach would take another job so we don't have to face him going forward. I don't get that---if Kentucky is trash, why not keep Stoops there?
Is KY ahead of us in the polls? In recruiting?

Then whatever changes things back to the way they should be is what I want.

“Good” doesn’t cover it. Just the possibility is program changing. When it spills or doesn’t, we’ll gnosh. Won’t be a drawn out thing. Less than two weeks.

Not a fan of him at all due to reasons like others but remember the Chaney news well...but imo if it's program changing, I don't put a single player in that regard unless the certain player guarantees others...you have my attention

What a dick.

Heupel didn't even meet with his UCF team at all. He showed them a recording. And UCF people used that as an opportunity to bash him too.

This is the perfect time to character assassinate coaches you don't like for whatever particular reason, but the fact of the matter is pretty much every time a coach quits, it goes by virtually the same script. Hell, one of the few exceptions was Pruitt. Who was bashed on here for committing to his current players and is an all around dick.

@butchna
  1. Since when are your a de1 confidant?
  2. Is this positive or negative?
  3. Do I get Italian or Chinese for dinner tonight?
1. Wouldn’t call it a confidant. He trusted me with reliable info 3 years ago. I wasn’t as chatty a Cathy as I’ve already been on this one, tho.
2. The first one.
3. You’ll get nothing and like it!

Kirby Smart is on a recruiting war path. He walked right into Alabama and took this guy.

With the current state of college football, it's hard to get excited about a commitment until they sign the LOI, attend school for 3 or 4 years, graduate or opt for the NFL. An 18 month advance notice barely moves the needle of interest.

I saw where either the state or city of New York is now injecting drug addicts so they won't overdose.

TBH, it's a better option than them OD'ng and taking up medical resources and/or passing out in a corner and a much better option than ripping a poor family to shreds because mom or dad decide to turn crime or prostitution to maintain their habits. If someone is going for injections they're trying to change their life for the better. I guarantee the amount of red tape that goes along with whatever program is enormous and unfun for those participating but they're doing it because they don't want to be buying drugs off the street anymore and because while they might still be chemically dependent this is a step away from being an addict (dependence and addiction aren't the same thing). From a completely pragmatic standpoint, injections can't be resold. They're not going to hit the streets the way other meds can. It sounds horrible because the name of the drug but medical grade drugs are easy to administer and control so no accidental ODs.

People forget that both meth and cocaine are used in medicine. Drugs aren't inherently evil and chemical dependence shouldn't have a moral stigma to it. The moral stigma should be reserved for those who lie, cheat, steal and/or everything else to feed their addictions but plenty of folks refuse to do that. Those are choices. If we can make it easier to make the right choice, we should because lives of not only addicts but family, friends and even communities are on the line. Heroin is just actually a weaker drug than most of the opiates and opiods we've developed over the years to treat pain but now it looks like it's found a treatment use.

Basilio was talking about this a few months ago. The $100m contracts are going to be the norm going forward. The ridiculous $15m per year for 7 year deals are on the horizon. The sport is completely changing right in front of our eyes. It doesn’t seem sustainable.
As long as people keep paying to watch the sport...

- More Revenue

And they sure as heck aren't lowering stadium costs...because they can.

And assistants...and oh, those guys that play the game, aren't getting big raises...

So, you have similar non-HC expenses...

Then there's really nowhere else for the money to go...

The whole thing is absurd.

The only player I can think of that would fit that description is Arch. He has a bunch of guys who will follow him wherever he goes. As good as they might be I wouldn’t consider Walter Nolen, Ty Simpson or Zach Evans to be program changers. But that really would be out of the blue, there’s been no smoke on Arch other than people connecting him to Peyton.

It opened my eyes quite a bit. I just hope we can get some things under control in this country.
Unfortunately, we(2sisters and I) dealt with Ox with Dad. He found a Doc in Ark boothills where he lived that would fill that prescription any time he needed it. We became aware and moved him and Mom closer to us but the damage was done and passed from not only being 86 but damage done to his body from Ox, HydroCo and other. Youngest sister pursued with getting female Doc banned from at least practicing in state of Ark

gonna be hilarious if Bama finds a way to win this game this week....lets see what Kirby is made of.
That would be nice . We all know bama is beatable this year. That way it would make for a more interesting playoff. No undefeated team , well unless Cincinnati sneaks in and that would be great if they upset one of the chosen ones.
