So, let's say ND does get into the playoffs. Does ND pushback their coaching search and wait to see how well Marcus Freeman does? I know he's already considered a candidate.

What’s the word on Tyre West?
FSU this weekend….if he makes it in next weekend then they will have every shot at him.
-AP
Visiting FSU this weekend then Tennessee next week. Rodney Garner been working that one hard.
-Hubbs
Gibbs what’s your guess?
I’m not sure. TN is gonna swing big but so are other heavy hitters
-AP
I think Tennessee is going to have a real shot with Gibbs. Wanted to come out of high school but didn't happen under Pruitt. Would imagine Tennessee without a star at RB in this offense is extremely attractive
-McKee
Dallan Hayden gonna give UT a chance?
I don't think so.
-Hubbs
Justin Williams? I missed him in the tidbits…
Nothing to say. They haven’t been to see him yet.

Latest with M'Ba and Tolan? bump bump bump
MBa is Vols vs Oregon
Tolan is all over Map
-AP
Tolan been taking visits. Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn the last three weeks.
M'Ba scheduled to be here the weekend of the 3rd. Was at Auburn this weekend.
-McKee
Do you see Tennessee in the top 3 for Iamaleava?
Way too early for that, imo, but he was very impressed Saturday.
-Cain
Not sure there is top 3 but see him coming back
-Hubbs
yes. i think the Vols are going to have a great, real chance there.
-McKee
Is Squirrel gone?

Are we still talking to Walter?
Squirrel is not gone at this point. Does UGA want him or is there a transfer they like better.

Tennessee is still talking to Nolan.
-Hubbs
What’s a recruit we are overlooking this week.
Jourdan Thomas

Ok guys that's going to do it for tonight. Thanks for joining us.

Heres what lll say.

Lincoln Riley bolted far away from SEC play where none of us could get his penny loafers dirty. He wanted no part of big boy ball. Kind of weaselly if we're being honest.

Brian Kelly left his coddly kingdom and walked right into the hairy belly of the beast and decided to try to compete with the best every week. Respect.
Genuine question and take your SEC bias out of it. Based off the info we know about what USC is paying Riley, how the hell could anybody hate him making that move? He made the right business decision and it’s pretty clear as day

I really hope next year's recruiting goes better than this year's.
We won’t know how recruiting is going bc of covid…. There is a kid in North Carolina that has dominated and has good size/decent speed…. He hasn’t even been rated at all bc he was more of basketball player before covid hit and really came on his junior/senior seasons. We have not recruited some higher rated guys(Horton for example) bc we trust our own evaluations…. We want a juco DB but haven’t offered the number one rated player bc we are still evaluating him to determine if he fits…. As for Kody Jones …. He is still rumored to be a vol but Michigan is throwing everything at him to try and keep him.

I think it's pretty clear he ran from the SEC as well. Both can be true.

Let’s put this in perspective… This year alone
Miami, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, USC, Notre Dame, Va Tech have Head Coach openings. Am I missing any other big guys out there…..and this is absolutely bonkers. Mark Richt lost control of coaching jobs it seems

Couldn’t agree more, and this has been take the last year plus: can’t trust many evaluations do you late bloomers and zoom calls for the longest time. Going to have overrated and underrated prospects all over the place. I think Rodney Harrison’s son is possibly a good example of this phenomenon as well.

I'm not saying you're pushing players anywhere; I don't know that to be true or false, but, how many NPA players are looking at Tennessee in this year's class? Any? I'm also curious, who are the 9 players listed on the UT roster, and which coach did they commit to? I understand that UT has been a mess, and that recruits see that. I'm not arguing that fact. I also understand other schools have been a mess.

Stoops is lying to Destin to get him, and you and I both know that. He's not a QB. I understand why some coaches do that, but if you're advising these kids, I'm not suggesting you push them toward one school or another, but I am suggesting you be honest enough with them to tell them that their futures are at other positions.

Lastly, I think you get a lot of unfair name-calling and vitriol on this board, but I also think you instigate sometimes by continuing to talk about the past and how bad we've been. This is now, and Heupel and staff did pretty damn good this year. I would hope kids like the Wade twins and others would take notice of that. I think Tennessee is on the verge of something special.

Sometimes, these kids need a dose of reality rather than the fantasies, dreams, and utter BS that some coaches feed them.

I spent the majority of the 2010s around multiple organizations in South Florida involved with highschool level recruiting and 7v7s. Don't let anyone tell you they don't have personal relationships with a lot of these coaches and absolutely have handlers pushing narratives and players to certain schools. Remember a lot of these coaches if they have any ties to an area automatically have an in with these organizations. Ive personally seen 7v7 tournaments where high level players were involved (calvin ridley, dalvin cook, brandon powell) for a few examples and there was only one coach from one big university there watching, these guys that run the events and programs have direct contact with these recruiters like when we had Niedermeyer. and don't think for one second the players are the only ones getting McDonalds bags.

But why is that bad? The SEC will chew you up and spit you out. He made a career move for longevity and will be the King of Cali. You can’t really blame him

You missed a few that I thought were interesting:

Mark Stoops in play for the OU job?

“Maybe. Depends on how many Fuel Points they would get for their purchase.”

- Hubbs

Rumors on SC boards that Beamer and staff were celebrating a big recruiting victory this evening. Any idea on that?

“They found out they finished sixth for Christian Harrison.”

- AP

How many QB transfers do you think Heupel is looking to take?

“Zero. Every single QB transfer is going to Ole Miss.”

This x 100. The handlers encourage kids to visit certain places. They can't promise a commit but their job is to get kids in front of coaches.
