Surely you don’t think those teams Notre Dame plays that the media insists on propping up are harder than an SEC schedule? Granted KY plays a week out of conference and cross over, but still.... Anyway, we will see how he does. He will have a better roster than KY.

Kentucky undoubtedly plays more difficult teams, but (like you said) they play more cupcakes. For example, the “easiest” game ND played this year was arguably Toledo while Kentucky played at least 3 teams (ULM, Chattanooga, New Mexico State) that are as bad as (or worse than) Toledo.

Never called you stupid. Notre Dame hasn’t been “scratch” since Gerry Faust…and even then a quick fix. Academic standards are tougher and I don’t think that appeals to him.

That's the only disappointing part. I want more heartbreak for other teams. I want to see other fanbases crushed.

I remember that was a talking point when they fired Les Miles. The state had to re-budget other departments to pay his buy out and alot of ppl were mad.

Then they doubled up with Oregeron. He never has to pretend to coach again.

Those are weird numbers. ND’s is probably boosted by Cincinnati. ND played two P5 teams with a winning record and 3 at 6-6. UK played 3, and 4 at 6-6.

Like how we come in, an *unranked SEC team, and slap the "#13" or whatever, team in a bowl..

First of all, I dont believe it. Secondly, if these figures are accurate, the LSU AD should get absolutely no credit for this hire. Any sane individual would take the LSU job for a king’s ransom.

I think they will happily give him credit, but that also means his butt is on the line with this hire. If it’s a success then he deserves all the praise for making it happen, but more likely when he ends up no different than he was at ND, winning 9-11 games a year and losing the first game when he does make the playoff, then he will be sent packing for paying way too much for above average and not great coaching
