Like is he that oblivious to his own claims and stupidity?
I actually despise him because he argued with me that Shane Battier wasn't a great 3 PT shooter at Duke (on-air too).
Like somehow the internet doesn't exist for the man, if it's not in his head it can't be true. For those wondering Shane is 3rd all time in Duke history for made 3s and 8th all time for 3pt %

Lmao @Kingston VolTee Martin not getting any calls!?!?
Man Kingston is furious I bet
A coach that can scheme-up "situational football" would help immensely.I'm not trashing Banks. I think he's done an admirable job given the roster. I just think there is a huge potential for upgrade here.
I get that point, it’s what Georgia, Michigan, Cincinnati and Ohio state did with Meyer basically. Just pointing out not all spread is air based and tempo like many seem to have stuck in their heads Works effectively if you have coaches that know how to maneuver a clock"Ground and pound" is more about formation. It's a mindset. Loading up the line.
Heupel runs a ton, but it's not "pound". It's space and pace and getting vertical to punish the spread out defense. Similar to those above, but pushed to the extremes.
But, to me, "ground and pound" is loading up the box with extra linemen and running behind tight ends and all that garbage.
The KY game sort of soured me on Banks a bit. Never understood running base defense rushing 3-4 and playing zone behind it when we couldn't cover worth a poop in zone. When he dialed up pressure at the end the Vols gave them no chance. Looks like he'd have taken more chances and perhaps turned them over a time or two.A coach that can scheme-up "situational football" would help immensely.
Now...it could be the roster. I just don't get how we can be so good at pressure/TFLs, but so bad on 3rd down. Maybe he can improve there. That's our biggest team deficiency...by far. Shore that up and we can win 9/10 with Hooker and kick off recruiting.
