Is this one who was coming to TN, jumped ship after Pruitt left? If so, we might very well have a chance in getting him here....

No, Gibbs was in one of Pruitt's full classes. He has a few years left, I believe, but he wasn't a freshman this year, unless I'm mistaken.

Instead if starting another portal thread, I'm going to drop this here. Hope it's okay with you.

From what I understand, Lewis didn't play this season - possibly due to injury.

I wonder if he is a culture fit, just because of how chaotic his recruitment was, though I have no information outside of that fact to indicate he has any sort of character concerns.

That's exactly what I just read, due to injury, he didn't play. He tore his ACL in March.

A side note: He's an ex-Tennessee commit.

I’d prefer Zach Evans from TCU……just my opinion, I think he will be a better RB overall, along with being a decent receiving option.

Evans was a 5 star from 2020. He was TCU’s #1 recruit. Over 15 games he’s had over 1000 yards rushing and over 200 yards receiving………averaging over 7 yards per run and over 11 yards per reception.

I didn’t say they did; however what is the reasoning here?

During his hs recruiting he visited Tennessee and it was stated by multiple sources Tennessee was definitely in the mix.

Of his former top 5 he just left one, two of those schools just fired their coaches……and one of them has a star freshman RB.

I’d say Tennessee might have as good a chance as most anyone. Possibly Georgia and Mississippi (not on his previous top 5 though), look to be the front runners.
