I've been through Norman a few times and that is one ugly boring town. It can't begin to compare to Knoxville.

Kiffin doesn’t want to be at Tennessee anymore than he wants to be at Ole Miss. He wants to be at a program like Miami or LSU and that’s eventually where he will end up. There’s zero chance in hell that Kiffin would be hired here though. I mean a good portion of power players behind the program would have to have dementia or something before he would be allowed back in Knoxville.

Before Heupel was hired numerous calls went out to numerous coaches and agents about interest not a single one to Kiffin though.

I gotta hunch Aranda gets a raise and stays at Baylor, hits OU when Stoops gets demolished in the SEC in about 4 years.

Out of (literally) left field, Mario Cristobal goes to LSU for massive money after Aranda and Jimbo say no. Cristobal fails in the SEC and goes home to Miami in about 4 years.

Saban finally retires in about 4 years.

By 2025-2026, I should be trying to recall the way to the bathroom....... it won't matter much to me.

I’d say there’s literally about 0% chance Heupel would take that job. I’d also say there’s about a 0% chance he would be offered it. We were underwhelmed with his hire at first, what do you think those asshats would be?!

Why is no one predicting Kiffin to Oklahoma? Gets him out of the sec ( not having to beat saban), loaded offensive team, and doesn’t have to play defense to win.. seems natural fot

Good grief y'all are ridiculous, this has nothing in common with the Kiffin situation. Kiffin made it known that he would leave for the USC job if it came open. Yes Heupel played at Oklahoma but he did not leave OU on good terms and there is no love lost between the two. Kiffin is a West coast guy and CPC left very late in the year. They struck out on their other coaching options and fell back to Kiffin. He had no buyout at UT. Now, could OU strike out on its other coaching candidates and fall back to CJH? Absolutely, but that doesn't mean he would take it. Some of y'all put way too much emphasis on coaching at your alma mater. Plenty of coaches have turned down coaching at their alma mater or have turned down more lucrative jobs.

Heupel will need to make some statement soon or this will start affecting recruiting. Players want to play in his system. And to sell that players need to know that he will be here

You have not read my post. You might want to do so before making false statements. I have suggested in the past that Fulmer get a ten year show cause so this program can heal. And our coach’s name is Huepel.

Dvoracek is a friend and former teammate of Heupel’s at OU. He still lives in Oklahoma and is close to the program. He and Danny Kannell have a radio show on XM 84 in the mornings. All season he’s gone out of his way to talk up the job Heupel has done here. About an hour ago he made his case for Heupel to be in consideration for the OU job. Said he should be a top 3 candidate.
