Lol. So I guess Bama, OSU, UGA and Clemson will be lining up to snatch him up as an analyst right?
The Manning family loves Cutcliffe, and all of those programs have built-in advantages that Tennessee does not. There's no guarantee that hiring Cutcliffe gets Arch to Knoxville, but it surely puts Tennessee in the mix to a far greater extent than they are presently (which is, to say, not at all) not to mention the years of experience he'd add to the fray in general.
If Tennessee is remotely serious about the Arch Manning sweepstakes or pulling in high-end quarterback talent, they to offer him top dollar to be QB coach or an offensive analyst of some sort.

I agree with everything you said, and Cutcliffe to Tennessee makes no sense for either party. However, you really can't hold it against Cutcliffe that he couldn't recruit top flight QB's to Duke. Duke isn't going to land a top flight high school QB regardless of who their head coach is.... but under Cutcliffe, Duke did produce a top 10 pick in the NFL Draft, with Daniel Jones in 2019. That was no small feat. What ties does Cut have with Cooper Manning? You can claim Peyton and Eli like Cut. But assuming Cooper does because of his last name is silly. Besides what too flight QB has Cut recruited in forever? Also, if Cut helped with the Arch situation so much, why wasn’t hasn’t Duke been mentioned as a potential landing spot for him?
I think Hawsley is better than Cut anyway.
This seems to be an unfairly long leash to me. Duke is just awful. Terrible really.
