Paul Finebaum: Steve Spurrier played key role in Florida firing Dan Mullen

I have no doubt that Stricklin discussed it some with Spurrier, which is kind of Fulmer-esque. But it’s odd to suggest that them being really close helped fire Mullen because Stricklin was the associate AD who had input in hiring Mullen at MSU. Then became AD at MSU. He knew exactly who he was getting and has had a long relationship with Mullen.

I also think Chadwell is better than Napier as well… he’s already starting to out-recruit Napier at Coastal and beat him head to head last season with a weaker roster. They’re both great up and comers though no doubt. And both are Tennessee natives…

I'm glad we made our coaching change last season. Too many good jobs are open this year, and there arent that many good candidates. Florida is setting themselves up for a Dooley or Butch level hire.

Let’s give some credit to the DW hire. Without him, do we get CH?? Also, give some props for the job he has done with our entire athletic department. All are performing at a high level…..THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT !!
