I’m surprised Clawsons name isnt being mentioned in all these coaching hot boards. What he’s done at Wake Forest is pretty comparable to Stoops at Kentucky IMO
Pretty sure Clawson is happy where he’s at. Comfy job without the stress of big time boosters

Other things to keep in mind:
  • Took Spurrier 7 years to win a national title
  • Meyer had big success fast, but had trouble sustaining it, thus he quit
  • The guys they've gotten "wrong" generally were considered extremely good hires
You take all this together, and you start to realize Florida may not be the elite job its sold as being.
I would love to believe that, but I think that's reaching.

It took a while for Majors to win anything
Fulmer had quick success and couldn't sustain it
The guys UT has gotten wrong......well........were considered sh!++y:oops: (There's the difference)

Oh I wasn't comparing Florida to Tennessee - just saying it's not a guarantee the next hire Florida makes will have an easy time bringing them back to elite status. And I'm saying the job may be less attractive to outsiders than Florida fans might think (particularly with how quickly and viscously they turn on new coaches). But time will tell...
