Awesome to hear. I know this must be hard for her, but the tide is turning. I think you are about to see a landslide of backtracking now that healthcare systems are realizing the disaster that looms.

Oh we have people retiring at 63 all the time for just those reasons. The practice of nursing requires you to be able to lift 50 lbs. ( In the job description) IN reality we move 50 to 150lbs off dead weight to bathe, change bandages and turning. Thatā€™s times several pts several times a night. Sometimes a patient will fight you turning them. Then you have force against your efforts which increases the amount of effort you have to put it. We get hurt all the time.
Last week we had 1/2 of our 14 pts with BMI >40. We were all exhausted.

Iā€™ve seen this for 15 years. I donā€™t think people take obesity as a co morbidity as seriously as they should. They have weak cardiovascular systems that invites multiple issues. People also depend on pills instead of activity to address issues. We need less pills more physical activity. Movement is life.

Yep Itā€™s why we have so many covid deaths in America compared to other nations who have like 1/4 our obesity rate. Itā€™s why my 35 year old cousin died of covid a couple months ago.

Your issue is not with the definition of vaccine, itā€™s with your own perception of what you thought a vaccine was. Then again, since every vaccine has varying rates of efficacy and length of immunological protection provided, and zero vaccines provide 100% effective/permanent immunity, I wonder why youā€™re just now raising a stink? Oh yeah, because COVID is politicizedā€¦ hence the LOL

What is the difference between an annual flu shot, and the Covid vaccine? Iā€™m legitimately asking why one is characterized as a vaccine and the other isnā€™t. What is the qualitative difference Iā€™m not understanding?

The flu ā€œshotā€ is a vaccine, and has always been characterized as such as far as healthcare professions are concerned.

Then why call one a vaccine and the other not? Why does the press characterize one as a vaccine and the other one is just a shot? I have never heard the flu shot called a vaccine, even from the healthcare professionals administering it to me.
