I have not travelled much the past couple of years. Just realized that Hilton is no longer allowing Gideons to place bibles in rooms. I did a little research. Seems like the trend started 4-5 years ago in newly built locations but it’s been widely implemented during Covid. Seems that the prevailing justification is millennials are the least religious generation in US history so I suppose that means decreased interest coupled with increased likelihood of offending someone.

I think other than most Marriott brands, all large national chains leave the Bible decision up to the franchisee.

Id say 80-90% of the hotels I've been in have a Bible still.
