TOP is not comparable to shooting percentage…at all. It’s roughly comparable to TOP in soccer, but even that doesn’t reliably correlate to wins. Some teams have different styles that make TOP less important to their success.

Yeah that is a stupid comparison. Those two things are not related.

I completely forgot about Morven. Man, I had high hopes for him.

As much as we have seen improvements in so many players from the development of this staff and never heard from him this years tells me all I need to know about Morven. He can't break into a thin roster, then he does need to move on.

Literally the first sentence of the article is a reference to the Alabama "I hate Tennessee" video. Has nothing to do with Kentucky, but everyone that dislikes us owns it. It is the absolute lowest hanging fruit known in CFB to get clicks, laughs, likes, engagement. You can't read a post on other sites without the "they low down, they dirty..." reference.

I have often fantasized what I would do if Tennessee beat Alabama. Since I live in Alabama, I think I would put on as much orange as possible and go sit at a bar with a **** eating grin on my face haha.

Same. There is an entire generation of Bama fans down here that have zero perspective. This is the greatest run in the history of college football and they think it will just be like this all the time because that is all they know. For all the hell we catch as a fanbase for vitriol, it will be peanuts when that fanbase comes crashing down to reality. The first time they only win 9 games the redneck trailer wives and brother-in-laws will start getting offed in record numbers.

The Dobbs Nail Boot, hail mary, whatever we wanna call it, is the gift that keeps on giving. Because for every time they show their stupid hobnail boot clip on the broadcast for this rivalry, they have to counter it with our hail mary. The hobnail boot is such an overrated call, glad we have uncle Verne yelling "JA-UAN JEN-NINGS! JA-UAN JEN-NINGS!" with Dobbs jump-fist pumping and Kamara on the ground in disbelief.

Munson was such an overrated crybaby. Always had his list of excuses (injuries, size, you name it) ready when they lost and was an insufferable prick when they won.

I love our staff and have almost zero complaints - but if I were to think of one - it’s how I don’t like how they don’t put many kids into the rotation.

In an era when kids are quick to portal out if they’re not playing - you’d think they’d try and make a point to get guys like Joseph or Callaway or Willis or Beckwith or Holiday etc in the game more.

Callaway hasn’t played since Florida. I don’t even remember Joseph taking a snap. Some of our secondary rotation has been weird. Turnage wins SEC DPOW and hasn’t been seen since. No Rucker that I can recall since the blocked punt.

They’re big on “trust” but how many times you have to see Beasley get steamrolled before you decide to give someone else some run?

I don’t know man…. Gonna be tough sledding with these roster numbers for a while. Seriously doubt Joseph is the last promising young guy we see transfer out.

We can't have it both ways. After the Pitt game, Heupel was quoted at the Knoxville QB Club saying, "we have to be the best we can as fast as we can." Everyone loves this because he isn't making excuses for a rebuild.

So, you play to win the game. We lost by 7 to Pitt. We lost to UF. We got up big on USCe and took the foot off the pedal to save some guys. We played Bama into the 4th quarter. We played one score games against OM and UK.

Calloway had his chance. Beckwith apparently just isn't as good as Pierce or Whitehead because both played in the 4th quarter against OM. We have to play our best defensive players to win ballgames. Winning will cure all by getting better players in recruiting or the portal.

Seeing that Jackson is a hard commit, Simpson is still possibly being pursued, and who knows who else......what is the main reason Jackson is such a “great fit” for CJH’s offense? His HS team runs a version of the wing-t, which isn’t known for being fast paced and throwing down field.

Seeing that Jackson is a hard commit, Simpson is still possibly being pursued, and who knows who else......what is the main reason Jackson is such a “great fit” for CJH’s offense? His HS team runs a version of the wing-t, which isn’t known for being fast paced and throwing down field.

He’s got a strong arm, accurate, mobile and is THE leader of his championship winning team. His skills translate.

Yes but looking at our portal players now, Bailey, Mauer, and this guy, unless they remove their names from the portal they won't count toward the additional 7. I don't see them removing their names. It's a screwed up mess. I wish they would remove that stipulation because players that are leaving need time to find a new home and at the same time teams need an opportunity to find replacements. It can really hurt rosters. It also hurts some players as they may not be able to find a spot due to teams not having room.
